Nice return for Braz. Like the player a lot really but he's too slow.

Got some soft hands around the net, could definitely help Minny. Khusnutdinov has the ability to hang on to pucks and make plays which is something the Bruins desperately need more of.

Don't mind the deal. It's two pieces of pending RFA trash for a more productive but older pending UFA. I don't like the 6th thrown in. Those two should have been plenty. If anything it clears out two contracts for next year.

Khusnutdinov is terrible. Yes he was thrown in the NHL too early, but I would vote him one of the worst players to ever play for the Wild. There's nothing that he can do well. He has almost no offense to his game. He's not an effective defensive forward. He's not good on the PK. He can't win a faceoff. He can't win a physical battle. It's shocking that he had such a long runway.

Yuh. Sure has the look and feel like a Guerin type move. 😐
I mean it’s a hell of a trade for Billy G. Trades his trash for a 6’5” winger who is good for the playoffs

Khus belongs in the KHL tbh

Trenin, Jiricek, Brazeau… it’s like he’s intentionally trying to build the worst skating team possible. Khus and Lauko can fly. Didn’t know we were building teams to compete in the early 2000s again.

Huh, I thought there was a lot of hype around Khusnutdinov. Did MIN give up on him early? Brazeau is ok I guess. Greenway replacement?
There was during the season where he put up 41 points in the KHL at 20 years old. He hasn't had offense like that since, and even before he got here we were informed by some Russian posters that Khus was just in a perfect situation that year.

My take on Khusnutdinov is that he has great speed in terms of both top-end and acceleration, but not a lot else. He was bad both in the offensive zone and on the PK, especially because he isn't good at faceoffs. To be fair to him, other than his physical strength and shot, his other tools aren't bad, he just hasn't been very effective with them. He's a guy I think could become a 3rd line center if he hits the weight room (without losing speed) and works on his faceoffs. It's also possible that he just stays an underwhelming 4th line center.

Anyway, I'm going to hold off on judging this trade until I see Brazeau play some games. I really liked Lauko, though.

Khus and Lauko aren’t regular NHLers on a playoff team

I will miss the mystery of seeing if Marat will register a shot on goal every other game or three. Truly astonishing to rack up a whole 30 shots on goal at this point in the season. Someone could spend like 10 minutes of the their day and pick their favorite out of the 30.
