Not bothered by any of his words or actions since being sent down. In his shoes I don't think I'd go to the White House either.
The Kings are not going to eat 20 million and a 10 year cap hit above 1.8 million with year four/Five being above 4 million.
Because a guy has a bad attitude.
Richards is stuck on the Kings, the Kings are stuck with Richards.

What exactly did Richards say that has you guys all bunched up ? He didn't elaborate what was said between he and the GM ?....
Frankly that's none of anyone business.
Richards kept the interview's short, said "I am here to play, cause I was told too, I will try to help this team and not get in the way".
What exactly is wrong with that ?
Someone gets it!!!
Personally I would have run Pearson/Richards/Toffoli as a 4th line no pressure to see if they could get things going in a 0 pressure stetting... during that time when Pearson/Toffoli were playing with Lewis and doing nothing and Richards was with Clifford/Nolan.... There was absolutely nothing to lose from it....
Sending Richards to the minors was just a great move...Lets see if we can **** with a guy that's signed forever at 6M....
The coaches job is to get the most out of his players.... after seeing Richards fill in in the top 6 early this year, when Kopitar was out, and play decent... it really looks like Sutter is failing at getting the most out of his roster.... I'm probably just grumpy about watching Gaborik playing with Stoll/Lewis last night... Kings had enough offense anyways... didn't need to put Gaborik with a player that can pass him the puck.

My god, it's just the same stuff over and over now. Don't people get it? Dean didn't just wake up one morning and decide to send him down. This is over a year in the making.
He was playing poorly before that.
The Richards saga is over, yet this thread never ends.
This season really is a nightmare.
I understand, but I don't think it was a year in the making as you said. He has clearly been playing poorly for 13 months or so, but as much as DL wants to talk loyalty, he had to think MR was going to be able to come back and atleast be an adequate third liner or he would have bought him out.
I think the thought of waiving and demoting Richards probablty started at about the 15 game mark when it was obvious that he wasn't back to anywhere close to previous levels.
I bet this thread would still be on Mike Richards II if we got rid of the posts complaining about the existence of the thread.
It was downhill after that concussion his first year and that second one in the playoffs the following year. Couple that with his lack of proper conditioning his career is toast.

Good God, now you guys are whining about him not going to the Whitehouse? He's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. If he went, somebody here would be whining about that too.
Mike Richards is not playing like an NHL player but some of you guys really like to put these guys under the microscope. I wonder if you guys hold yourselves to these high standards.
I can't speak to everyone's standards, but I called myself out this morning for peeing on the lid. It was unacceptable for my skill level.

The thing is, it's not. As long as he's affecting our cap, we have to deal with it. Removing him from the team doesn't stop his cap hit from seriously affecting the team.
