He is just overused. He isn’t a bad top 4 guy, just not a #1 and that is how he currently is used. When a player is not in his chair, this is often what happens.

What Matheson did on the 6th goal last night against Washington is just unacceptable.

Yet no one bats an eye but me. People even act like he's having a great season. Reality is, he's been like this for 3 years now.

Yeah sure, he fell and turned it over yesterday because he was overused.

The reality is he's never been used less than he's been used this year with the Habs and he hasn't been better, heck, he's probably even worse.

He plays 15 minutes a game at 5v5, thats less than Hutson and Guhle and only 5 seconds more than Savard since the start of the year.

We need to stop that narrative. He is playing less right now, he's just as bad.
