just got back from leafs practice.. Komi looked decent - not our best D for sure, but looked to be a little quicker on his feet.

Komisarek was trying to live up to his contract. He was given a cap hit probably 1M more than he was worth and he knew it. I think this led to him putting additional pressure on himself to add offense, and to be the defensive enforcer. In short, it caused him to think too much instead of just playing.

I think he's figured it out and will play his game finally. 17 mins. of hard-nosed defensive hockey clearing the front of the net.

What leadership. The guy looks like someone who has shell-shock after the way everyone in Toronto treats him. "I just wanna help this team win" "I just wanna get out there and prove my worth" I just wanna do good" "I just wanna do whatever management asks me to do" "I just.. I just"

I am hoping against hope for him to bounce back.

If he can't, waive his ass off to minors as well (and then buy him out in summer).

Komisarek has a NMC and therefore can't be placed on waivers nor demoted..

The only way to place him on waivers would be under the condition of a buyout.

The No Movement Clause in his contract makes him far more difficult to dispose of as a result.

Hard to feel sorry for a guy who just made $22 million and really had no right.The remanants of the Burke druken sailor spending spree are being blasted out now.Komisarek needs to play decent hockey and he knows it.We are thin on D,but if some of the young play well(Holzer,Fraser) there is demand for Dmen right now.My opinion,someone with commmon sense like Nonnis is framing him for a trade.Don't laugh but he might land a 2nd rounder if we frame him just right,something Carlyle knows how to do.

Komi is part of the past,a grim reminder of 4 years of bad hockey for nothing.He may start the season here,but as soon as someone asks about him he will be gone.

They need to drop this guy and just go forward. They won't be saving any money cuz no one will pick him up. He will not be able to give them anything Fraser can't give. Just move on Nonis. That would make Nonis' training camp A1 for me.

He is a good shot blocker, physical presence. He will be fine under RC. at 3.5 mil, he isn't that much of a burden.

I am pretty sure NMC wouldn't cover the compliance buyout. Thats the one I am talking about.

Sad that ever since we signed him, every season it's brought up how Komi might have a bounce back year. I don't see it, he's terrible at this point, and Carlyle and his new defensive approach can only hide his deficiencies to a certain extent; it's up to Komi the rest of the way.

U cant hold and grab players like u could back then. Komisarek has below average feet and terrible Hockey IQ. Leafs need to get rid of him anyway possible. Fraser and Koska have outplayed Komisarek at Leafs camp. Komisarek was a terrible signing. Burke's worst signing in my opinion. Speedy forwards salivate at seeing Komisarek on the back end. I remember last year Brayden Schenn embarrassed Komisarek twice on one shift blazing around him. Usually Komisarek has to hold and hook a player to contain him, then he barks at the ref all the way to the box. Get rid of him /

Of the 4 guys who made up our L.A.C.K. line last year. I'm very happy we still have Komisarek. The other 3, I wish them luck but hope they don't play well for other teams.

I mean he lost 10+ pounds, so he'll be lighter which he needed to be. Hopefully as Carlyle does bring in a system so hopefully that helps him.

I really hope so as Komi is a good guy. I just question his hockey iq, but hopping for the best.

Special K - I can't wait to watch him in action this year. The man can single handedly vault us from Bottom10 - to Bottom5 in NHL.
