Actually there is no one more slimier than Kelly McDonalds. Not sure if a slimier, more disgusting GM/Head Coach combo has ever existed, and that is saying a mouthful for the NHL.

If anyone but Babcock had said that, then everyone would've loved itI think I heard a different presser than everyone else. I liked what Babcock said and look forward to what he can bring.
I mean for the most part Draisaitl didn't really pk, looks like he averaged 20 seconds a game. I agree that they shouldn't have been pking at all and I don't totally understand where that decision came from, however if I'm not mistaken there was a fairly significant portion of the year where maybe one of Janmark, Kapanen, Samanski and Philp were even on the team.Henrique's PK numbers didn't regress. They also added Dickinson for when he missed most of his time.
They had last year's #1 PKer(RNH), this year's #1 PKer(Savoie), they had Podz for 82 games, they had a mixture of Kapanen/Janmark/Samanski/Philp.
They never had to play McDrai on the PK. It was a choice. It was a coach doubling down even further on running them into the ground.
Oilers at Even strength with neither of 29 and/or 97 on the ice:
23-24: 0
24-25: -22
25-26: -36
I just don't understand how people can look at this and conclude that the problem was the coach putting McDavid on the penalty kill.
Neither does the season sample size where only 3 forwards played every game and only 5 even played 70.Not sure what the point of this post is other than maybe that the Oilers lost to the Ducks because their stars were not playing at 100% capacity.
Which is true but the bottom 6 slightly outscoring a pretty terrible Anaheim team in a 6 game sample doesn't mean anything.
Good interview
My understanding is that he talked to his wife after about the situation and they decided he should leave.Wait - I thought that he called his wife and she told him to leave?
I got exactly the same impression. Deflected and or skirted around every single issue. In other interviews he clearly forgot his original answers and gave different answers. It’s funny how people can take away different things from the same conference. I thought he completely skirted around every remotely tough question.
Came across as a full blown narcissist who refuses to show even a modicum of responsibility or recognition of things he might have done wrong in the past.
But I’m a certified hater, so take everything I say with a grain of salt.
