If i had to guess the "new" means new to xbox so with that in mind, i'm predicting it's either Final Fantasy 16, or less likely FF7 Rebirth. A port has been rumored for ages now and it would also make sense with Xbox and Square buddying up again because the latter is so poorly ran they didn't really have a choice.

Nothing else really makes sense unless it's a bombshell, out of left field type revival/reboot since "legendary japanese franchise" leaves a lot of wiggle room.

It might be Resident Evil 6, since that was "leaked" via ratings listing.

Resident Evil 6 isn't new though. It's already on xbox and this would just be a rescale of a rescale.

If it's "New" it either has to be something new to xbox, or new in general.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 looks sick. I liked what i saw from the initial reveal being someone big on JRPG style combat, but this deep dive shows they got some pretty unique kinks to their gameplay loop.

Admittedly couldn't give two shits about South of Midnight.

Sign me up.

I totally forgot about and missed this event.

Signed in to Xbox to find something called 'Ninja Gaiden 2 Black' advertised on the home page, and damn near wet myself with delight.

It’s actually probably least notable on Xbox since it’s backward compatible in 4k60 on Xbox.

Yeah, plus the HD collection re-release of the PS3 versions of NG1 are available BC in the store from the Xbox One gen.

The side-by-sides of the original at 4K60 compared to this version are pretty wild.

I have the master collection and then my stupid ass bought Ninja Gaiden Black because it was on sale not realizing that and the collection version were essentially the same game.

Does the master collection version have any touchups? Because holy shit Black feels so clunky control wise.

Younger me used to be able to adapt to oldee/less refined control schemes, I've been spoiled too much by modern era convenience lol.

It is amazing what has changed over a few console gens, stuff on the OG Xbox feels like going back to the caveman days
