Microsoft Xbox Discussion Part II

Exclusive to xbox, but also exclusive to PC lol

But I don't even know why they're bothering to talk about it, it's not coming out for years.

He was probably asked about it and answered the question. And it was very, very obvious it would be. They’re supporting existing games (Skyrim upgrade, Doom Eternal upgrade), and existing deals (Deathloop), but after that, see ya Sony.

Luckily, though, anyone can play TES6/Starfield/Fallout 5 when they come out. PC, as you said. Also phones and tablets can stream Gamepass.

How Xbox outgrew the console: inside Phil Spencer’s multi-billion dollar gamble

For that reason, exclusivity has been the elephant in the room ever since the buyout. It’s been confirmed that next year’s Starfield, arguably the biggest game of 2022, will be Xbox and PC only. Spencer says he sees the same for The Elder Scrolls VI. In his eyes, Xbox is the whole experience. Xbox Live. Game Pass. Cloud Gaming. Friends lists. Save states. “It’s not about punishing any other platform, like I fundamentally believe all of the platforms can continue to grow,” he says. “But in order to be on Xbox, I want us to be able to bring the full complete package of what we have. And that would be true when I think about Elder Scrolls VI. That would be true when I think about any of our franchises.”

I'm hoping with a return to frame boosting stuff, that Yakuza Kiwami 2 gets the treatment.

It's so damn jarring that 7/8 games in the series all run at 60 FPS except for the one

I got a Series X through the all access program. Halo was enough to make me take the plunge into the "new" generation of consoles.

I havent really shopped around much, how is availability in general in Canada? I just checked on a whim and Best Buy had one available through that program.

Also, is Cyberpunk playing decently now? And if I purchase the Xbox One version, I get the next gen update for free, correct?

Supply seems to be better than before and MUCH better than PS5 stock. I've seen a decent amount available in both Sask and Alberta.

I bought the Xbox One version of Cyberpunk on sale for $10. It will indeed get the next gen update for free. I'm waiting till then to actually play it though.

Yes to both.

Cyberpunk never played poorly on the series consoles. I played it at launch and only had it crash like 3 times in 40 hours.

Performance and stuff will be fine.

I've been saying they should add this for a long time. Ideally they add a software update (if they don't have that ready already) that allows you to stream any gamepass game. That way you can play it while its downloading or just stream a game youre not interested in downloading while guests are over.

I have a short list of "next gen" (or close enough to it) shooters im buying between now and Christmas - Far Cry 6 and Cyberpunk. Those two, along with Halo, anything else I should be considering? Also, what major RPGs are coing in the next 6 months or so? Single player shooters and RPGs are my main gaming types.

I havent bought anything new since last Christmas as I didnt see a point in investing in games for my ps4 or XB1 when I knew I was getting a new system relatively soon.

Is it a Soulsborn type game?

I'm not a fan of games that cause broken controllers, lol

Haha it is.

It looks to be a little bit more approachable than the others. And based on the demo people played it might be significantly easier, but it could just be that in the demo they were given overpowered characters or weapons to start with idk.

Western RPGs or JRPGs? If you have Game Pass there is a few of each

Far Cry 6 is a great game. The campaign is massive and the post campaign stuff (Far Cry 3 DLC, Special Ops missions) are really fun.

Cyberpunk is in a better place than it was at launch. They still have some stuff to fix but it’s a good game.

GotG is a pretty damn good game. It's not the most revolutionary but it's a solid 10-15 hours of good storytelling and combat. We need more games that are shorter/linear

Probably not my GOTY because of Metroid Dread, but still very enjoyable nonetheless.

Did you beat it already? I’ve given it 1-2 hours so far and I liked it, but I haven’t seen anything special yet.
I'm halfway through. It gets real good. It's basically uncharted in space with (imo) better combat, although much easier cause of all the powerups.

Writing is great too, it's almost the quality of the movies.

>calls far cry 6, which is another copy and pasted ubisoft title great.

>Calls GotG "meh" and its gameplay bad

I already knew dolemite had shitty taste but now I have my proof
