You know I have to admit, for as much hate as I gave the xbox controllers for not coming with a battery, the official rechargeable batteries they sell are insanely good. They literally last like 40 hours or whatever it is.

They also seem to last longer with Series X/Gen 2 controllers.

They're WAY more durable than PS5 controllers.
I won't debate about durability, but the face buttons (especially the Y button) are extremely prone to sticking, the Y button on my Series S controller was sticky (as in stayed pressed down when you press it) straight out of the box and they have very little depth when pressing them.

I also hate the shoulder buttons, they feel terrible. The triggers are okay. Overall the buttons are a bit too clicky, to me there needs to be a certain amount of softness to a controller button press. Not mushy but some softness.

Has anyone played the Crysis trilogy here? I’ve never played it but I saw the remastered trilogy trailer and it looked pretty cool. Might be worth checking out for $50.

I played Crysis 2 and it was fine at first. Half way through I was bored out of my mind. Some people love them but I found it wasn’t for me.

i have only played a few games of warzone with a ps5 yet but in every which way my xbox series S controller is better. i think you just got a bad controller.

I've used both extensively. It's all a matter of opinion tbh but the feel is just all wrong on the Xbox controller, it feels like a dollar story toy when you press the button, I felt that way about XB1 controllers too, I've got 4 controllers, the original One controller (doesn't even have Bluetooth), a one S controller, a series S controller, and a $20 piece of crap controller. The buttons honestly feel similar across all of them. It's just a feel thing for me. I realize it's subject so it's pointless to even mention, but I just hate the feel of the button presses especially the shoulder buttons. They've improved over time but still not what I like.

As for the sticky face button for sure it's a defect, but it's common problem, I don't eat food or drink when I game and the series S had it out of the box. It's a common problem for me for some reason.

I haven't tried the series controller but when I game on PC with a controller 100 times out of 100 I'm using my Xbox One controller instead of the dualsense.

weird lol. I came from the PS4 and have tried the PS5 but find the new xbox series controller leaps and bounds better in design, feel and playability for the games i play which is primarily madden and warzone. but like you said to each their own as i have the exact feelings about the ps4 controllers when i used that system primarily for years and kept going through controller after controller due to sticky shoulder buttons or crazy wild drifting. So far so good and no drifting for the xbox controllers for me.

im glad i didn't get the sticky button problem. I just have the controller that came with the Series S and then a sweet red black and white one.

I do too, but only because I don't like installing extra drivers. Only steam and a small handful of non-steam games natively support PlayStation controllers without installing 3rd party drivers.

Not a fan of the analog sticks on the PlayStation controllers, especially not the placement of the left analog stick. Much prefer the XBOX controllers for that reason alone. The only time I use my PS controllers on my PC is for PlayStation emulators.

Same. The controller on the PS5 is one of the major reasons I own an XBox.

Flat out ergonomic nightmare. I really don’t understand how anyone can play games on those controllers.

The top 3 rated games of the year (Opencritic) are all on Gamepass: Forza Horizon 5, Psychonauts 2 and It Takes Two

Amazon has a slight sale on the three month game pass, from 45 down to 38, and they can stack. Or maybe wait a few weeks and see if there's a better deal?
