Tied for the team lead with 4 goals. So happy he wasn't traded

But if we don't win the Cup keeping him was a waste because obviously we were never going to win the Cup and never had a chance to in the Cup and shouldn't have even tried to win the Cup. Or something like that.

Haha, Exactly...

Dude has been tremendous for us. Trading him would have been a huge mistake. Not only was he a top scorer for us in the regular season, but the guy is a very good playoff player and we just don't have enough of those.

If Pitt manages to win against Wash without Crosby, we could be seeing a very lucky/easy road to the Finals. Then, who knows. Just glad we have Grabner.

Dude has the potential to be a playoff warrior. Good that he lives up to it

yes i read before the PO began, "he is a potential benching guy", "not good enough" .."was only a 1-2 good month"...bla bla bla..

I know the most people do not noticed him in that kind of games, olympic qualification to 2010 with austria best goalscorer he was there, PO with Islanders (2013 with a good Series) and for me a highlight the Olympic GAmes with Austria.

That man yes michael Grabner was the BEST Goalscorer 2014 at the Olympics not ovechkin, no crosby, no vanek, no Kovalchuk, and so on...his speed is and was always a weapon and he has a heart like a lion...
he is not talented (Hands) like Draisaitl, Nash, St.Louis, Vanek, Oshie or other big players, but he fight for the team, and can created Chances for hisself and for all other ones..

works hard every game. creates chances. Opens up a lot of defenses with his speed. Has done all you could want and more.

Yeah I think the biggest thing about grabner is that the other team always has to worry about his speed, it changes how the defense plays and how many chances they can take, etc. ANd not just his speed but his anticipation to pick off passes etc. I think it's pretty disruptive

hehe, he don`t looks like a day older than 25! :)
I`m happy with this deal, because he is our best and most reliable pkèr on this team, and always dangerous with our counter attacks and speed! ;)

Grabner is only about 2" shorter than Kreider, and the water seems to be about the same level. So, more or less, this is equal to when Kreids did it.

Hahahaha, memories of marking out at the Kreider video when he did it.

Grabner will be fun to root for, hopefully he can put up 20 goals in the regular season again.

Forget about Nash this will be gortons toughest decision "to trade or not to trade".
If he has anything close to last year he should get us two second round picks at the least but would be tough to trade him if we are in a playoff spot

Losing Lindberg hurts, more so because he was younger and leaving a void in the all important center position. Needs to be fixed.

But losing Grabs would've hurt this team even more......I say. He was an integral part of this team and literally carried the team through the first 45 games or so.

We need his production and his speed is undeniably his biggest attribute which scares the hell out of opposing defenses. Oh yeah, his PK expertise is one of the reasons as to why we weren't at the "bottom" of the league in that category.

Can't wait for many here to have to eat some good crow, as I'm pretty sure he will easily duplicate last seasons performance. He is a beast and wouldn't surprise me if he is even faster this coming year (if that's possible). Stay healthy Grabs, I'm rooting for ya'!

100% agree on Grabner. He was #1 by far in the guys I didn't want to have stolen by Vegas. For once we signed a guy, got a career year out of him and didn't lose him right after. Great job by Gorton to sign him to 2 yr deal.

grabner is taking care of his body now and thus can be a solid player for a few more seasons. He's been a great find. Under 2m.

Who would you put on a line with Grabner & Carl Hagelin if we still had him? Who could play with all that speed and make the line very dangerous?

Grabner is one of my favorite players on this team now. I'm hoping he gets signed to a reasonable extension than I'll probably go out and get a Grabner jersey.

He's taking really good care of his body. I had no idea. Belies his relatively small size.
