I think he sends one out most years. He definitely knows they let the fans down. Let's hope his faith in Chevy's ability to turn this back around and right the ship is well placed.
Bunch of Management key words with no substance there. Felt like I was at one of my management meetings where upper management is sprouting off about organizational culture, core competencies sprinkled with gratitude.

Management: A difficult few years.... World-class blah blah blah... Commitment and passion... Lives saved and changed... Client model... Multi-faceted approach...
Us: Okay, but when are we getting [insert bog-standard equipment, beds, staffing, drug/ treatment, everyday supplies more or less absent since March, 2020] here?
Management: Uh... Leading-edge blah blah blah...
Don't really doubt the sincerity so much as I do the ability to fix the problems identified (to a limited extent) within the existing brain trust. And it's a whole lot easier to pump out a "message to fans" than it is to face them and respond to concerns in real time in a general meeting scenario, as in some of our football clubs. But good luck to them.

I mean no moves by any GM guarantees a playoff spot in the NHL, what I'm looking for is real, honest and thought out moves without trying to pinch pennies (coaching). If the team puts it best foot forward, succeed or fail, while I might be frustrated/disappointed at least I'm satisfied they tried. This doesn't mean I wouldn't call for Chevy to be fired as early as next year.......but at least I would see that the team is trying to win.
If they go out, hire a dud HC who is hired just b/c he's cheap to hire then I throw my hands up in the air annoyed. If they go out hire a big name coach or a really good upcoming new blood coach I'll be happy.
Trades are trickier b/c hindsight is 20/20 and its very subjective.......but results are what counts. Make the right trades chevy and get us into the playoffs again or I'm done with him.

Coaching is tricky as it's going to be hard to determine if they are pinching pennies or not. I'm sure most of us don't have a good grasp on all the up and coming coaches.
What will piss me off is a retread of a proven bad coach like Yeo or a dinosaur like Carlyle.
I'll have an open mind on anyone else they go for.
But I agree an honest effort to fix the issues and an honest effort by the team on the ice would be acceptable to me. What has pissed me off the past few years isn't the results but how the team has looked on the ice.
then there is the other half like in Chevy’s case where the words were so important to a vocal group. Can’t please everyone.
