Merry Christmas, have some reindeer poop

am I really the only person that thinks Quick should have saved 2 of those goals last night?

really?

Just stand the %&k up with his stick blade on the ice in OT and he makes the save...? The shooter had NOTHING to shoot at (as the puck then dribbled beneath quicks paddle for an easy tap in)

I don't blame quick for any of them. Two of them were very lucky. The PP goal Stoll blocked the shot and it deflected on a t for Johnny Cocky Nickname. The tying goal was a bad bounce off of Doughty.
The OT goal Gio should have never been given the opportunity to do what he did.

Sutter would say "We need a save somewhere in there" "with our Defense the way it is, our goalies need to be excellent" "This is not the same team as last year".

I thought Carter played pretty bad last night. he was fumbling the puck all night and had very poor coverage on that GWG. He let a defenseman beat him to the outside.

I thought Quick could have stopped that last one and the wrap around as well but those were all plays the defense could have also been better on. Oh well, it was a fitting end with the way the season has gone this far. At least I have that Gaudreau guy on my fantasy team!

I could bet Andy Andy would've done something if he was dressed. He may challenge Bollig for some fisticuffs perhaps?

Clifford, King, Richards should've stepped up. Not sayign drop the golves as Richards would have got dummied, but something.
That hit and no response was a turning point in the game.

Clifford really is absolutely useless. Nolan should play over him at this point. Doughty had an awful game last night.

I really shouldn't of gotten that drunk after that loss, feel like absolute hell today...

Carter did something but not enough. Oh well, we play them again next week. Hopefully we can embarrass those two clowns Bollig and Bouma.

Bollig yes. I have nothing against bouma. Clifford needs to take notes from Bouma on what kind of energy to bring

I guess we can't expect the team to take regular season games seriously when the coaching staff doesn't.

I think the Christmas break is in the CBA. I don't think the coaches could make the players practice even if they wanted to.

Who ever thought we would be saying a Sutter/Lombardi team would be bad defensively ?

Like Sutter said before, it's not so much playing defense, as possessing the puck. If you're having to play actual defense, you're not doing your job.

Definately, someone needs to grow a pair, that was lame. At least Carter registered his displeasure. Sutter must have our boys on a leash. Clifford had to do something more than a snow shower.

Know what pisses me off the most about the comeback? They were just **** goals. Nothing pretty. It wasn't like they were touched by God and the Kings had no chance. Just frustrating.

We got a main board thread out of it too. If we get a main board thread after a game it better be because someone got kneed in the ****ing head by a Kings player and their jaw fell off.

The game was pretty good. Year over year the Kings played the Flames much better then they did last year. They were generating scoring chances.... Now the Kings fell on their faces at the end of the game defensively... the power play goal Calgary scored was fine.... didn't Stoll have a broken stick and the blocked shot bounced right to a player ready to shoot.... can't do much about that.... Doughty had some brain farts at the end of the game... like stepping up at the blue line and pressuring the same guy as King when they were down a man (pulled goalie)... this left him chasing the play after.... Now how to fix the problem... don't play Doughty 30mins and have faith in the rest of the defense? I guess that's easier said then done with the new version of the Hanson brothers... McNabb/McBain/McMuzzin

3 goals were scored when the Kings were down a man.... address this issue and move forward....

Ok the overtime goal was hilarious, but what do you expect after blowing a 2 goal lead with 2 mins to go.

Still a pretty fun game... simple things to adress and the bounces don't always go your way.... oh yeah and hot goaltender/lots of parity and all that.

Once again reading today in the various Canadian press stuff that the Kings are pressing for a Dman and although I doubt it wlll Sekera (whose name keeps poppin up in the rumors) price way too high, a young player,a prospect and 1st rounder. But over the summer Coburn's name came up and I read it again today, that Hexy needs to move salary desperately (10 expiring contracts and only 2.9 M in Capspace and that doesn't even address their need for a top D or 1l LW,) His contract is up and he most be resigned at a much lower cost. Whether it be him or another d, who is the odd man out?
IF DD, AM and JM are 3 of the top 4 and new D is the 4th, that leaves wRR, MG and McN and three d for 2 slots.
I would hate to see Mcnabb benched, the more ice time he gets the better he'll be and he needs those minutes. I'd prefer RR over MG, MG has not looked good on most shifts and on the ice for way too many goals , esp PP and scoring chances.
But one of them would have to sit or be moved I guess???

Who would the odd man out be?

And a few weeks back, a colunn (Might have been Kevin Allen , not sure) mentioned 2 Eastern teams interested in Voynov, should it not go to trial.

Kings could get a ton for Voynov. If it came to that. I think he'll either be deported or exonerated and back on the roster.

Coburn would kind of make sense, but he shoots left. We need a right handed D man. That's why I keep pushing for Wideman...

I quite like the idea of Luke Schenn, He'd be cheap. DL and co are great at recycling/ rebuilding Dmen

unless it's to drive the Zamboni, there isn't a job in the Kings organization for Schenn. Having suffered thru every Flyers game he's played, he is awful in almost every way. And they've been trying to dump him for over a year, unfortunately, every team has scouts at the games and they all know how bad he is. And DL isn't looking for a rehab project, esp one that would not be doable, due to low IQ among other things, he wants a good top 4 D that can step right in.

Oh dear, Has he really been that bad. The games i've seen him (limited) he's been alright. So Coburn it is? How's Del Zotto looked?
