This is part of why I enjoy living in central North Carolina. It'll snow a couple times a winter, but usually not much, so it'll look pretty for a day or so, then melt in two days when the high is inexplicably 65 degrees in mid-January.
I live up a tad north of Buffalo. We are supposed to get couple feet this weekend. Bills game could be interesting. Hope forecast is correct. Love the snow

I'm most definitely the second type! A blizzard comes through? I'm rushing out to drive in it!
Where I grew up (Central NY lake-effect belt, 120 inches of snow per year on average), winter driving was sometimes considered safer because the snowbanks would insulate you from the guardrails.

Yep, this is not inaccurate, not to mention the road side ditches are a monster to deal with unless the snow has them filled in

That’s probably a good discussion to have in the OT thread on what’s going on.
Heard Charlie Munger (Warren Buffett's #2) on CNBC this morning talking about crypto. He has referred to it in various unflattering terms, even calling it a venereal disease. This morning he opined why we need a separate currency for kidnappers and such.....

This was my car one morning last January.
I park in the garage specifically to avoid that! (also to avoid really thick ice if we get an ice storm - had a bad one in the 90's when I didn't have a garage, came out to my car with 4 inches of ice at the base of my windshield! The ice blocked the intake vents for the cabin air, which resulted in it taking over 5 hours to get the ice cleared off the windshield so the car was drivable!)
