Reigns turns on the fans, Cena calls him out in the good guy roll. Gets beat. Authority standing strong. "Anyone, but you". Wyatt face turn, bring down the man.

Roman Reigns defeats Sheamus at TLC followed by the Authority coming out and offering a hand to Roman again (this can happen the next night on RAW). Roman Reigns cuts a promo on how even when he's won, he loses by defying the Authority and how the fans don't appreciate him anyway so what's the point? He shakes hands with HHH and thus a new star is born.

I would be perfectly fine with a heel Roman Reigns defending at Wrestlemania against John Cena...as long as Reigns won.

Now will any of that happen? Of course not, but it would be a legitimate solution.

I don't see heel Roman as a draw either. It's good for his career long term but he's not going to become an overnight draw just by turning heel. Roman at the top of the card with a real draw like Lesnar still didn't sell out a much smaller stadium in Santa Clara. It's not going to sell out Dallas.

And sadly... Balor said he doesn't even want a call up at this point. Why would he? NXT is dominating and Balor has proven time and time and time again that money is not his goal.

When, in the 2000s at least, did the Royal Rumble not main event the show aside from 2006 which was used to bring The Undertaker back?

Yes it was mostly in the mid 90s that the Rumble match was not on last, but those years had a weak rumble field, and this year could be the same. If the plan is not to have DB return and win I could see them not having the Rumble last.

Only issue i have with Bryan and Lesnar is putting a guy who had a pretty serious neck injury against a guy who generally dishes out 10 germans per match. Even if he is cleared i think that is a huge risk to a guy that could get your rating back to a less embarrassing number

The german is not anywhere near the big risk people associate with it.

My thoughts exactly.

Widely speculated that WM will be Taker's last match.... what better way to intro Balor than as "the new demon" and be Taker's protege leading into WM?

Balor could be lower on the main card at that point.

Not at all. All signs say Taker wants to work past WM32.

Insider saying plans are still ago. Taker/Cena still likely, and Roman's coronation at champ in the main event with them following the DB story from 30.

And Roman is gonna get ripped apart in front of those crowds that I might have some sympathy for him

And who thought it was a good idea to make him cry after losing the title. Makes him look weak and not a bad ass

If Meltzer is wrong, and the WM plans weren't thrown out. Then they plan on just doing the DB story and make him sympathetic.

It is going to back fire terribly.

Meltzer needs to be right and they need to start from scratch and need to clear DB unless it is 100% true he isn't cleared by the 3rd doctor.

WWE has 3 people who move the needle

brock
cena
bryan

to a lesser extent taker(but even with him around the ratings have been sinking)

nobody else really is a difference maker but that is mostly WWE's fault for how they present talent.

the product is just too rigid too much scripted crap and vince isn't panicking to fix things because he has a ****ed up thought process

they need to get rid of kevin dunn's ***** ass, and bring a fresh look to the show, it's been the same for over 10 years

In all honesty I think Cena has stopped becoming a needle mover. His return will get a spike/pop, but people will go back to hating him very quickly.

I would say Taker is not a needle mover anymore w/o the Streak, too. He's a big part of the overall show, nostalgia, and namesake... but he's not moving it.

The biggest needle mover is an overall GOOD show.

it's going to take months of that, if they do people will come back but until the way things are done is overhauled i don't see it happening.

too many things are done to "fill time", too many stale characters, not enough big stars

There is no one person who is a needle mover.

Brock wasn't moving the needle either. Fans are on to the fact that Taker and Brock are part timers and when they will vanish for a while.

There was up ticks and steadiness around battleground and HIAC.

Taker/Brock kept people around at least.

Oh good lord.... Taker needs to stop. He's had his run. I love him, he's my GOAT, but I don't wanna see the guy die in the ring.

I hope/imagine he will do just one more mania after this one. Maybe goes out against sting at 33.

He does need to stop. He went above and beyond with his matches against Brock.

Cena would be a good guy to beat and go out on but if he wants to wait one more year for Sting fine but that's it.

Were plans scrapped or are they happening? Who's the one who said they're still a go?

Someone at the insider was reporting that Roman winning the title (word was coronation so as s fact most likely) and Taker/Cena was still a go and those were both rumored matches on the old card.

It wasn't Metlzer.
