I don’t know how to say this more clearly:
It hurts like a mother****er to get hit across the thigh.
The hit was right above his knee which is a frightening moment as an athlete.
Yes, when this happens you are going to be in pain and worried about just how bad the injury is.
He was on the ice for 10 seconds for god’s sake. That is an extremely, extremely minimal amount of time to wiggle your leg, realize nothing is horribly wrong, and say to yourself “OK, I can stand up and get this checked out”.
So what is your theory here? That he went to the locker room and… did what exactly?
Anyone who is not frankly an irredeemable dumbass can see that he took 10 seconds to recover from the initial pain, got up and went to the locker room for a quick triage, realized it wasn’t major, tested it out, and returned to the game. This was all captured on video and squares with common sense.
So get pissed off at the refs for the call. Clearly they felt after video review that it met the standard for the major. That has literally zero to do with Necas’ (near-total absence of a) reaction.
No, the Sharks fan said the Canes get “preferential treatment from the refs” and the Rangers fan is still whining about losing to us in the playoffs. If that’s really the crew you want to align with, go right ahead.
