I hope Noel is doing okay. It's great for Paul Maurice, and the team and the fans, but he's gotta feel horrible.

Yeah I was thinking during the third there that if Noel is watching this he's going to be pretty pissed off.

That stretch on the PP in the third there where they stayed on the behind the net cam while the Jets blasted cannon shot after cannon shot on net was absolutely awesome!

Amazing how Pavelec's SV% is suddenly .947 when we actually cover our guys.

This was what they should have been doing all season, although against a very troubled team. Great to see it. Finally a game that was almost 100% pain-free.

The Yotes are nothing if they can't hook and hold. If the NHL wants to create scoring they need to make the refs call it like they did in this game

Don't worry about Noel, he will be doing better than you guys the next year when he collects his 700K doing nothing.
Great win, add Kane to the lineup and we should be fun to watch. Frolik makes everyone he plays with better, he is our MVP this year aside from Kane.

Unreal.

Was there one player who didn't show up tonight? I can't think of one.

Kane. :sarcasm:

What a game!

Good: pretty much everything
Bad; no shutout for Pavs. That would have been the icing on the cake
Ugly: Smith. Oy.

Can't wait until Kane gets back, and Maurice is actually able to install some systems.

Also: this is one HAPPY bench!

Great game to watch. Looking forward to seeing if they keep it going.

Loved watching Bogo tonight, although I never jumped off the bandwagon to begin with.

Really liked Seto's game, as well as Olli, and Scheifele.

I've liked Buff up front in both games so far, so count me in on really giving Buff up front a chance. If Buff gives it 100% up front, it could be a good thing for the team.

34 games to get a new system down, this year is surly a forgone conclusion but the remaining games are without a doubt the unofficial start or the Jets 2014-2015 season.

He said the exact same thing last week when Noel was still the coach.

Go back and look at buffs interview 3 days ago when being told he was going to play forward. His heart was not in it. Can't say the same about maurice cause we didn't see it, but obviously he was convinced.

Setoguchi on contract year. His minutes declined over the last couple months, he probably sees this as his second chance to impress the coach, get more minutes, and get a contract.

Yeah, exactly. Don't cry for him, Argentina. He'll have those $58,000 paycheques coming in every month to use as crying towels. To paraphrase W.S. Gilbert, "I could use a few more failures like that in my life".

And add me to the "I can't see him being bitter" crowd. Every time I have broken up with a woman in a serious relationship, I have always been nothing but genuinely happy for them when their lives turn around and they find happiness. If at any point I told someone "I love you", I'd have to be a pretty big ******* to wish ill on them just because they realized I can't bring them everything they need.

To be honest, I suspect that Claude Noel was damn happy to see the athletes he gave a damn about for 2.5 years probably putting in their most dominant performance in recent memory, if not ever.

Wouldn't surprise me if Maurice sat him down and said to him exactly what he told the press earlier; he's a special player who can make a difference in a game at both positions. Obviously Paul was a little bit more convincing than Claude may have been.

If Buff gives close to 100% it would be a great thing for this team. That effort would make him one of the elite players in the NHL.

Bogo simply needs to play like that more often , there is no reason he can't or that we shouldn't expect effort close to that more often than not. That simply has not been the case though. Fingers crossed.
