The skating wounded. Good to hear! What's going on with Slater? I guess he never had surgery for that sports hernia and they're trying nonsurgical treatment?

I think I remember reading that they sent Slater to a clinic.

Edit: found this.

On Thursday, the Winnipeg Jets announced forward Jim Slater underwent surgery to fix a sports hernia and would be out of action indefinitely.

I think it's a bit early to make that call. They've been together 2 games and one was a stinker. They've had some awful games as little as a week ago.

at even strength they've played 78:04 together have a CF% of 54.6 and haven't been on for a goal against

One of Noel's last pressers he said Slater was skating at 50% He was working out in the weight room at the iceplex when I got there today and looked in good spirits. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays before the olympic break.

So maybe half a dozen games or so, my bad. Not too shabby but I shall still avoid a christening. :)

oh me too, but was very visible the ease with which they were getting the puck out of the zone - when they keep it simple and pick good spots for pinches they do fine
