different strokes for different folks. I'm just bummed, I like the silly style they all had going and especially Errey's legitimate enthusiasm. I love listening to an announcer who is enjoying what he's doing vs sounding like it's just a job. Plus Errey actually knows a lot about hockey. We'll see who they get to replace him.

TBTH I liked Errey, but it's time for a change. At some point you gotta turn the page, and I'm ok with that. Well, depending on the replacement. I'm good with Colby. TK isn't articulate and less is more with that guy.

The thing about people wanting "National Broadcast Quality" guys is, if your guys were "National Broadcast Quality", they'd be doing the National Broadcasts. Not coming to you, hat in hand.

Disagree, Colby entertains me, Errey not so much. Errey was substantive and clearly knew the game well but so do I. I don't need anyone to explain whats happening. I just want to be entertained. Errey start the bus!

I mean Armstrong played 3 seasons with Pittsburgh and won nothing, while Errey was along for the ride for the entire Crosby-era. Not so sure about that at all.

I was 6 his last year in Pittsburgh. I’m mostly Crosby era as a full-time fan and that’s 100% of how I know errey, not as a player. I think he’s a very enjoyable color commentator.

Also I loved Army as a player. We had his Jersey signed and framed on the wall of my dorm room. None of this is me being anti army. But I think he’s just okay as a commentator.

Who the hell isn’t a Talbot guy? The guy was like a movie character underdog scrapping his way to a cup winning two-goal game.

Also errey knows the game but also enthusiastic and fun. I don’t see a single positive that army is better at.

Yeah I dunno about Colby being the main color guy. I guess we'll see who does most of the color and how that plays out.

Color comms can see things we can't from their perspective. Errey's very sharp on the uptake about things off-camera, or when we have poor angles.
Anyways, the drop in quality will become clear in like a week. I'll let his performance do the talking, assuming he even gets the job.
