Good times ayuh.

I like Nashers quote at the top of the thread. It shows that he's got a clue and knows that he needs to deliver.

Your time to shine Rick. Make us forget that "Big Easy" nick name.

BRING

IT

!

LGR!!

Love what im hearing from Berube. Lets change our systems in the opening game of the playoffs because of one player on the other team, despite going 2-2 against them all season. Might be some gamesmanship on his part but it doesnt matter, AV wont change a thing.

The Flyers sound like they are playing the Rangers and not letting the Rangers play them. I've always felt that making conscious decisions of how to play against a certain team and over matching is sending a message to your team that you aren't confident. When you focus on the other team too much you lose sight of your strengths as a unit and it could bite you in the ass. Could be a rookie coaching mistake at this level.

We'll see. I dont think Berube is a bad coach, but i question his approach here - especially when it seems like its a major focus going into the series with both the coach and players having no problems talking about it openly with the media.

Miller, Falk, Diaz were last ones on ice, so scratched

Why no Diaz?

I cant wait for the puck drop! It's on now! Quick nap before the game. It starts 2am here in finland and I've got a 10 hour shift tomorrow so it'll be a long day... I'm just so hyped up that it's hard to fall asleep now. I hope that each and every ranger will give their all tonight! We're in for a good one guys! LGR!

It's time!!!

For the over 30 crowd. :handclap::yo:

Every time the Rangers ask me in a survey how to make the game experience better, I tell them to bring back this soundtrack. It's a little dated, but it was so good.

IIRC, it was done by the guy who did the music on the Price Is Right of all things, lol.

really? haha that's amazing. Every time I hear that, I get chills.

Now when getting the link, I stumbled on the intro from 99'00. That one makes me cringe, in fact I actually had a visceral reaction to it.

Good Take.

This will be an interesting series on so many levels. Questions about coaching experience and philosophies not least among them.

The biggest question for me is if Rick Nash, Marty and Brad can really show up in a playoff for the Rangers.

I'm pretty sure we were a bubble team leading up all the way to the end. Barely beat Carolina. There was not this amount of excitement. Definitely a lot more "who knows, if Henrik stands on his head he could steal us 16 games...".

This year, different story.
You sure about that? Last year, the Rangers won 10 of the last 14 games. This year, the Rangers won 9 of their last 14 games. Seems fairly similar to me.

This team should not/can not get into a war of attrition/physicality in this series.
Agreed. However, in the end, that is what the playoffs are. A war of attrition. If the Rangers can keep the play in the middle of the ice, they give themselves a better chance.

That is one of the biggest factors. Henke has to be at the top of his game, and Nash and St. Louis need to score. The first factor gives me more confidence than the second. Nash needs to raise his level of play to a level he has not seen in the playoffs. MSL needs to start doing the thing that he has not been doing since he was traded for.

The Rangers won a lot of games in March last year but didn't look that great. But of course you don't look at HOW the team is playing, so this is pointless.
