Because he's the better player right now. Future, sure. Today, nope.

Yeah, not seeing how it's so cut and dry.

Personally, I think Moore has looked the best he's looked this season since returning to the lineup against the Avs. Diaz has been a decent fill in, but everyone seems to love him, and I just don't understand it...what the hell is so special about him? I haven't even liked Moore's game for most of the season.

Actually, they looked fantastic, but they were playing some pretty weak teams.

Eh, they looked not as good as their record. They weren't as good as the team that won those games, but they also were clearly much better than the team they had most of the season. The team most of that season personnel-wise was much worse, no Zucc, no Brassard, no Moore, a ****** Gaborik. Richards "came alive" with a bunch of fluke points and had us put up a lot of goals. I liked the team last year at the end, so I don't want to take shots. But I think this team this year is different than any we had under Torts. We just always seem to play our game. Under Torts you never knew what you were getting.

I don't have a love-fest with Diaz. He's a bottom pairing guy. But in the playoffs you go with your best and personally, I think Diaz is better then Moore. A handful of games won't make me change my mind. Moore has had a very up/down season. Mostly down IMO. Diaz is a decent, steady, bottom pairing guy. He's proven this time and time again. In Montreal he was good for his role. Here he has been good again. He's prone to lapses (as we saw and as any bottom pairing guy is), but I think it's a much safer bet with him in the lineup then Moore.

Agreed. And not to be a jerk Snowblind, but you complained about this teams consistency ALL SEASON LONG. Down to the AVS and OTT games like two weeks ago.

I trust Dorsett to play a physical brand of hockey that is less likely to get baited.

Dorsett is always guaranteed to take at at least one dumbass penalty and 1 fighting penalty in a "chippy" game.

I do not fathom the love everyone has for this guy the moment we play a team thats famous for being *******s

Dorsett has cut down big time on the penalties. Last game against Philly, he was one of our best players.

I trust him not to be dumb in the playoffs.

They've PLAYED consistently most of the season, but the results were inconsistent. Though, not so much since January.

The Rangers won a lot of games in March last year but didn't look that great. But of course you don't look at HOW the team is playing, so this is pointless.
Really? Are you really about to tell me what a 9-5 record is better than 10-4?
At some point, you really need to stop looking for an excuse to tear down the 11-12 team at every opportunity. One would think that the team did you some sort of harm the way you never miss an opportunity to take a dig at them.

I agree. Time tends to expose the warts on all fill in players. Same would be with Diaz. I think Moore is the better player in all aspects.

Speaking of Moore, the one thing that I have liked from him lately is his shot from the point. He is not overpassing the puck but digging in and blasting away. The Rangers need some more of that.

BTW do not underestimate Emery. He is an experienced NHL goalie. He would not be on the Flyers if he was crap. The NYR and the fans should not be too confident based on Emery being in goal.

Moore over Diaz is dumbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb

Not so much. Diaz and Moore is basically a wash. Especially for a 6th defenseman. Moore gets that spot because it slots all 6 dmen in the correct spot. Stralman, Girardi, Klein shoot right. Moore, McDonagh and Staal shoot left. With Diaz someone would be playing out of position.

Wasn't this about last year's team? I thought it was about last year's team. Anyway, I'm not getting into it again. One extra ****ing win, doesn't prove a team played better. The fact that you're so stubborn to not understand it means that I don't want to keep banging my head against the wall. You're either incapable of comprehending logic or have a clear agenda. Your inability to see past anything other than the record is so infuriating to anyone that actually wants to try and think that I can't argue with you because I'll punch a hole in my computer. When you want to use your brain instead of read a record let me know, till then I'm done wasting my time with you.

Might want to reassess this statement considering the Flyers issues in goal for the last 35 years.

Hes a backup, and not a very good one at that. The Rangers should take it to him.

The 11-12 reference was a mistake. I meant to liken to the team coached by a certain individual. But yes, I clearly do not use my brain. Thanks for pointing that out. Shall we discuss the definition of "arbitrary" again?

Know what? That's ok. I would rather you were done wasting your extremely valuable time.

I said this yesterday and everyone laughed at me. He has experience and is a fierce competitor. He can't be underestimated. Especially against our team which has severe trouble putting the puck in the back of the net.

Stream online live or DVR and cut myself off from the outside world?

Hes their 2nd stringer. It benefits the Rangers that hes playing.

Im not into all of this hocus pocus about the Rangers inability to score on backups. They've had difficult scoring on anyone over a # of years.
