Why would you put a center on the wing? And fast has been playing good and is clearly better in his own end than Miller

Miller's mostly played wing with the Rangers. Personally I don't have much faith that Richards and anyone he centers is going to have much positive impact. Hagelin IMO is the best player on that line and it's not that close. I don't think of Fast as a better player than Miller either. Miller IMO is the best prospect in our organization. Fast is smarter with the puck and better defensively. Miller is bigger and grittier and the Rangers lack size on the wing. Right now I think Miller is more likely to add some actual offense than Fast. It's an opinion. To me there's tradeoffs whether you dress the one or the other.

I'd rather take a defensive winger in this series

McDonagh is in.

The New York Rangers were forced to play five whole games without Ryan McDonagh during the last nine days of the regular season, but they will have their top defenseman back in the lineup when it matters most: when the team kicks off its first-round series against the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals at Madison Square Garden Thursday night

All the blogs say Mac's 100% ready to go.

We can't say this enough Loffen, but your GDT's are the envy of HF. You really upped your game for the playoffs! :handclap:
Thanks for your hard work and creativity. Your GDT's Rock! :yo:
I........ 2nd the motion. Sometimes goes unappreciated. Lots of effort to put together that stuff, especially the grids. Awesome job Loffen. U the man! Now, LET'S GOOOOOOO RANGERS!

Eh, that's too kind. There are others on here that are killing my setup. I'm sticking to simple and clean because of my nonexistent photoshop skills. lulz.

Anyway. Thank you, thank you very much. Hoahh. :bb:

I'm convinced McD will be good to go to start the series - the bigger question is if he will be able to remain at full strength once the Flyers start hitting him.

sometimes simple is better. Some other ones try to do to much and get kinda klunky and crowded.

So it begins...

Would like to see Miller over fast but whatever.

Playoffs baby, let's start them off on the right note!

Miller absolutely should be playing in his spot, he will get his chance. Still the coaching staff being tough with him so he knows he needs to earn that spot. He's obviously the better player.

Right before the first game of any playoffs the Rangers participate in, I always think of Ceil Saidel, a lady in her late 60s who got murdered by a drug dealer who lived in her building during the '94 playoffs.

I hope the Rangers play their hearts out for fans like her.

Even if we tag-teamed again like '11-'12 we are not matching that Sharks' GDT. :D

Boyle has been a playoff warrior for us so I'm gonna predict that he scores tonight.

LGR!!!

FWIW--there are other tradeoffs. Dorsett-Carcillo. John Moore-Diaz.

Personally Fast and Miller are toss-ups to me. I'd prefer Carcillo and John Moore over Dorsett and Diaz. Dorsett can pk though and is more likely--though not a lot more likely to contribute some actual offense. He may be a little more likely to take a dumb ass penalty but he slots better into the line as an actual right wing. Carcillo is somewhat bigger and better at handling himself. More of a real agitator IMO. At least with the Rangers he has not been prone to stupid penalties. John Moore gives us 3 left shot D's and 3 right shot D's. As likely IMO to provide the same offense as Diaz--Moore is a bigger and better skater. Diaz is less prone to running around in his own end. A little more calm to his game.

Anyway just having these choices shows that we have more depth this year.
