Agreed. No #2 seed has ever won the cup in this format, and teams that go to game 7's don't win Stanley Cups.

The Bruins/Habs are going game 7 in their series as well, so both teams in the conference finals will be on equal terms.

I think it's unlikely that the Rangers will take the cup this year, but if we can get by the Penguins our chances shouldn't be much worse than 1/4. Anything can happen over a 8-14 game span.

Keeping Crosby contained is hard enough. But keeping Malkin quiet has been the real tough test. The top 3 D all have to contribute.

I actually think that getting into Cindy's head is easier than Malkin.

Will be a tough game. Malkin will come with the force of a bull. Need to withstand those first five minutes and keep doing what they have been doing for last several. Henke will need to be the best player on the ice tonight.

I'm rooting for us to lose so that the St. Louis pick doesn't escalate to another first.

 Wow. I don't even know what to say to this. It would be one thing to say "well, it is a nice consolation prize if we lose", it is another to root for us to lose. Some of you make me sick.

*Edit: Not sure if you were being sarcastic or not...

Either way, I hope they win and I hope they win big. LGR.

I have a 5 month old puppy who is usually sleeping next to me on the couch....and when we score.... let's just say he isn't sleeping anymore. He gets so scared haha

Please, please, please win!!

LOL, sorry. I'm not normally one to do that with the tongue-in-cheek comments.

I was an outspoken advocate for the St. Louis trade, and I'm thrilled that we've been able to come back in the series with his help. I'd sell a lot of body parts to win a Cup, and obviously I want to win tonight.

LGR!

That's funny cause my Boston Bruins fan friend who sits next to me on my couch also gets scared when the Rangers score. :scared:

I'm joking and am almost certain 2k2 is as well.

If NYR win, and mind you it's a huge if, this game could go either way, we could have up to 3-4 full days off before next round. That's sufficient rest and should make the 7 games less of an issue.

:yo: :handclap: Fair enough. I was wondering if you forgot the sarcasm smiley or something.

That bolded part had me laughing pretty damn hard.

I am scared...someone hold me.

We need Hank to play his absolute best tonight.

It would be monumental if we won tonight. Preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.

Keep the momentum going. Come out fast and win puck battles. Good start is extremely important to really put some fear into the Pens.

Either way very proud of this team. They showed heart and intensity when I doubted them.

It comes down to who wants it the most. Hopefully it's us. Coming back in the series is great--not coming back all the way--not so great. If we can get to Fleury early and play like we have the last couple games then we should win. We've never won a series against these guys--it would be nice to do it now.

These seventh games are usually low scoring affairs...

I would not be surprised to see a 1-0 or 2-1 game. Both teams will be cautious tonight IMO....
