Did anyone ever think that a power-play could be twice as bad as when Torts coached?

There is no one on the team who can gain the zone by himself. That was always one of my favorite attributes of Kovalev.

Didn't seem feasible at the time.

We are being forced to dump it in on the PP which is fine but there is no effort to recover the puck. Nash singled out too.

Glad he showed that.

More like we are unable to enter the zone any other way. But even when we get set up once in a bluemoon, we pass, pass, pass and then shoot it 3 feet high and wide so that the puck clears the zone from the reboud.

Ha ha. We don't even know what injury McD has. There is no way to know that the two have "close to the same injury." Honestly - do you really think McDonagh is choosing to play half-assed? Him, of all our players? All year, in games when the team was in a funk, he was one of the few bright spots.

He must be hurt such that it's impacting his play.

And people think we can't replace Richards' spot as the PP QB. At this stage, having Lundqvist or Talbot on the powerplay would be an improvement

Can't really complain about the officiating as the Rangers had three power plays they promptly ****** away, BUT...

Pittsburgh has been blatantly offside at least three times with no whistle, and the Rangers have been onside twice and it's been whistled down. One of those is when St. Louis had his ribs given a dirty shot.

I don't agree. Crosby is in a league of his own in terms of diving and crying to the refs. Malkin is actually one of the most likable superstars in the league.

It would be nice if AV made some personnel changes on the PP. If he's waiting for practice time, he's going to be waiting a very long time. Sometimes you need to change stuff on the fly.
