Yeah I'd rather Orpik be in, guy is a pylon.

Rangers do a great job of shutting down Pens stars, its usually their 3rd/4th liners that score on us. Thank heavens Dupuis is hurt, that guys ALWAYS scores against us.

Need a huge series from MSL and Nash, would be nice if Kreids came back by game 3 or 4. LGR!!!

It still blows my mind that Bylsma was dumb enough to have him for the olympics. Bylsma could be the least intelligent coach in the league when it comes to decision making.

I simply cannot believe that there is still some rangers fans wondering if Carcillo should be playing again tonight! I'm speechless....utterly and completely confused as to if I'm somehow living in an alternate universe than some fans.

It's HF, there's an emphasis on playing prospects with upside. While I'd love for Miller and Fast to see some action, Carcillo has just been too effective to sit. You're right, having him in the lineup is a no-brainer at this point.

IMO Orpik is not as bad as some make out--he's also a dangerous player. I'd rather him not in the lineup. He has a history of throwing bad and borderline hits. Lest some forget here--it was his hit on Stepan that led to Tortorella's tirade about the Penguins and the NHL's protection and coddling of Crosby and Malkin--however much you believe or don't believe Torts on that. Orpik has a long list of victims going back years--he almost ended Erik Cole's career. Cole wound up with a broken neck and IMO he's never been quite the same. His head shot to Loui Eriksson this year got his ass mugged by Shawn Thornton when he refused to go with him. It's not Thornton's MO to usually bother with non-fighters.

Bortuzzo is a pretty decent player--he's tall and rangy and pretty tough--doesn't mind dropping the gloves and is good at it. IMO he's a step down from Orpik as a player but it's a lot less likely that he's going to throw a knee on knee on someone or target their head.

Did Orpik deserve the Olympic slot? **** no.

Problem with Carcillo is that he's not necessarily going to function at the same level of effectiveness for every single game against every single team. He's still a limited player and while I love how he's stepped up for the Rangers, I'm still wary of him being a permanent fixture in the lineup, especially playing in the top 9

How long has the pens rested now?

I think the way he normally plays, regardless of who against (and especially against a mentally weak team like the Penguins), is going to give them fits when he's out there.

And by mentally weak I mean it's extremely easy to get under the skin of their star players..whether that throws them off their game or fires them up is another issue.

Everyone enjoy! Lots of other teams fans are wishing they were us right now...Enjoy the Hockey and don't harp on the Refs...I have a better feeling in this series than the flyers..

Keep Klein Moore away from Crosby and Malkin and I think this is an easy series.

Have there ever been back to back playoff games in years past? I could have sworn it was never back to back up until a couple years ago.

They've had us play back to back HOME games before. Now it's back to back away and home. Of course this is only for us and no other playoff teams because a bunch of morons are making the schedules.

Did Father Time break his hip or something? :whaaa?:

Not that I'm the least impatient for the game to start or anything :sarcasm:
