Post-Game Talk: McMann vs McBoys, Leafs win 6-3

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates

Remember when we scored 5 in the 3rd just a couple months ago? These things happen

Just dont let it happen in the playoffs.

No lead is safe with this team, or from them.

It doesn't matter whether you win or lose. It's how many goals you score in the process. ML$E's thinking is that most people would rather see a 6-5 loss than a 2-1 win.

The sting of losing is soothed by the entertainment of seeing a "good" game.

When it was 5-0 after 2 I warned my fellow viewers that it wasn't over yet.. maybe in the old days a 5-0 lead was safe but nowadays it's basically f**k all if they're not careful

Dunno why ppl are saying these games don’t matter, Florida and Boston are fluttering and we’re clicking at the right time.

1gm back on Florida and 3 ok Boston. 6/7 pt gap. It’s not impossible to leapfrog even both.

Drawing Detroit/Washington and letting Boston/Florida knock one of themselves out would be huge.

Even if that is the case, if he felt anything at all after overstretching and taking a puck to the neck, he should take himself out of this completely meaningless game.

I rather them be overcautious at this stage of the season, sure.

I have a good friend that moved to Australia, he is from Wainwright. He is an Oilers fan, but because of Big Mac, he is forced to watch/ listen to Leafs games and he was so conflicted yesterday, i love it.

He's from Wainwright? Is he familiar with Glen Sather's mother's haberdashery?

Watched the replay of the game late last night after getting back home.

Amazing first two periods but letting them back into the game left a bit of a sour taste in mouth. Hoping Sammy is OK. He looks like our starter come April.

Also loving how much more physical this team is. Edmundson was all over that douchebag Draisaitl last night and it was hilarious seeing him get all pissy.

In all fairness, the PPs given to the 2nd best PP in the league got the Oilers back in the game otherwise this game was done. But our PK does need a lot of work regardless.

Hot Take:

Nylander may never be able to out-point Draisaitl, but he's the more dynamic of the 2.

From a pure entertainment view, Nylander is much more fun to watch. If him and Drai were on the same line, I believe Drai would defer to Nylander as the puck carrier.

This becomes very relevant if we win today’s game.

Facing a little adversity in the 3rd is not a bad thing IMO. They bent but did not break, even after losing Sammy. Very entertaining game and impressive win.
