I literally lol'd thanks XD

That's interesting, what would they do in the "Bullpen" Lmao, like an area where they have guys just ripping shots on them? The more I type this the more it makes actual sense? lol
Basically a mini-rink with a net and the goaltender can get their reps in, have some assistant coach or training staff take shots if not a thirteenth forward or 7th defenceman, maybe in-between periods or some other arrangement.

Yeah like a small section to the side where they do that, the fans would love it too, I think it's a great idea, the f***, where you been all these years lol! 10k posts, here's your NHL JOB KING! lol seriously though should make a main board poll and see what people think, I'm actually curious of the consensus, I don't want to post it because it's your idea, do it please!

The PP1 playing is a bit of a “c’mon man” kind of move but replacing the goalie totally makes sense. Gets him some playing time, gives the starter a rest. I dunno, this all seems like nothing to me.

McDavid looks rough, looks skinny too

This is not football where you can kill time with pure control of the ball while on Offense.

Football (NFL), play clock is 40 seconds and assume each play takes 5 seconds to actually run. Go 3 and out, its 135 seconds or 2:15 off the clock. It's pretty much math that at a certain point in time, you don't have enough time to score 3 or 4 times with 10 minutes to go in regulation.

Not the same with hockey. Plus, it's game 1, and players want to hit the scoresheet early in the year to feel good about the start of the year. Different if this was game 25 of the year.

As for the goalie, honestly, as a player who cares if they get changed.

Yea it was 10-0 mb. Just sharing how it was funny.
Can't compare to this though. One is a preseason game where the real Canucks weren't playing and none of them were in the starting lineup while this is against the Oilers lineup that will compete for the cup and was hyped to win it this year. Huge difference lol

"McDavid never shows any emotion or personality, what a robot"

proceeds to show emotion and personality in post game interview

"
omg what a whiny baby why doesn't he keep it to himself????!??!?!?!!?"
Well I guess he wants to be known as a whiner and a crybaby. I guess that's his personality then....you brought it up Oilers fans just remember that :naughty:

No one is pissed at him or hating on him. It’s a funny comment he made considering he puts up a lot of points in blowouts. So people are poking fun at him
Have you not read the last 7 pages? They're hating him for sure calling him a whiny bitch etc. at the same time are also on nhl's shop page customizing what McDavid 97 would look like on their team's jersey. Its quite pathetic.

I don't understand the PP1 comments , its really puzzling because I figured McDavid would be more self aware than that, I like the guy but he's gotta get out of Edmonton for his own good , bad for the game keeping him there

I'm not comparing the Canucks losing a pre season game to a regular season game in that they mean the same.

I am comparing it to the reaction the board has made.

McDavid is the guy who had a university goalie play in the last few minutes just last season. Don’t like when the shoes on the other foot?

Wonder if/when teams will start building a proper warm-up area for backups into their arena, effectively creating hockey's own bullpen.

Could be interesting strategy, and if it's the first attempt, built only to be accessible for the home side, an actual tangible home ice advantage.
I wonder we eventually give them a few warm up shots once they get in like the 5 pitches in baseball? Could work really good.

McDavid is just salty he never got to be the face of the league. It was always and still is Crosby and the torch is now being passed to Bedard. There's a reason Bedard faced off against Crosby for his first game and had the corny interview and all.

Hell, even the ESPN commercial break logo doesn't have McDavid alone, he's next to Crosby.

It also doesn't help that McDavid looks like he's trying to sell you stolen socks behind the Wawa.
