Nah the salt was coming out of McDavids tear and people here are just pointing it out. And Oilers also have the saltiest player in the league in Drai so I think Oilers are good with their surplus of saltiness which HFboard can't compete with.

McDavid and his line were one of the main culprits last night. They got caved in by the JT Miller line at even strength and McDavid was minus 3 on the night.
He will probably regret some of his comments but at the end of the day it’s not a huge deal. Just surprised that he went there tbh.

That's what he did the first 2:20 minutes. Handled it pretty diplomatic and never said anything about the opponent until the reporter brought it up.
You think a cabin interview would end after 2mins when the same question has been asked for a third time. But they kept it going and finally brought something up that triggered him a bit.
Really a non-story for me...

For the record, even at 5-1, I was not comfortable with that lead. We blew so many huge leads to start the year last season which blew the wheels off our season before November had started. Not saying the Canucks sent a message to the league last night, but they sent one to themselves for sure.

I don't understand why Goalies are not pulled in favorable blowouts more often. Getting them some rest and more minutes for the #2 has to be a good thing.

I think goalies don't get pulled because you don't want a cold goalie going into the game unless there was an injury or you are losing badly or you want the team to respond.

Eg. Athletic has us and Canes as 1/2.

I understand that. I also understand neither team won the Cup or reached the finals. Vegas showed their quality and Edmonton could not match, or adjust, and Edmonton didn't change much if anything significant in their lineup in the offseason.
I have a hard time believing their competition became worse in the same time frame.

I guess I just don't see it.
