Hope so....I am gonna be there lol

Careful, you might catch the flu.

K, you guys aren't even getting my point. I don't give a f*** about covid. I don't mask. I go to games, malls, concerts....I live life. But I also stay home when sick as should everyone.

The point is, in any other work place, if you are sick.....stay home. Really. Why do we make excuses for knowingly exposing other people? And in the name of being a team player like others have said?

Give. Me. A . f***ing. Break.

It ain't just about the individual. I mean, as a health care worker, if this is the mentality....I seriously do hope every player on a team (even if it is the Oilers) if even a single player plays sick, I hope that entire dressing room gets ravaged....and good.

I get vaccinated because I am in and out of ERs and ORs across a relatively wide portion of the province. You never know who you might come in contact with and what their compromisations might be....be it in public or a clinical setting.

You say we had no countermeasures for Covid....fine. I will take that. For everything else we should at least have a level of intelligence we don't just throw out the window. And there should be a certain level of decency and respect as to not willfully get other people sick.

"Stay home if you're sick and stay off my lawn!"

I disagree with all of the professional hockey pundits here saying that guys playing chippy at the end of the game is poor sportsmanship. It is, if the next time you play a team is 3 months from now. But, when they play again in a few days, it can be gamesmanship. Just not sure whatever McDavid and Draisaitl did, or their intentions, fits into this gamesmanship category

Did you even read what I replied too?
Yes, you disagree it was a diplomatic answer. What does that have to do with anyone caring about his answer to begin with.

Obviously he didn't like it, he got f***ing clowned (deservedly so for our bantam effort). The whole team did and they're mad about it. Ironically McDavid clowns the league YOY and the entire first page is people wetting their pants about "McStatPad".

If posters are going to sit around the camp fire laughing about the hypocrisy of McDavid being mad about the PP1 stat padding, they should pull up a chair for their own hypocrisy. Everyone loves their team to be on the right side of this stuff.

The hypocrisy is kind of the point, a guy who will go through hell and high water to score a point trying to complain about a team trying to score. Of course everyone loves to be on the right side of the score sheet, but you should still think before making comments on a situation.

Flip it around and you damn well know McDavid will still play nearly the entire 2 minutes of each powerplay.

As an Oiler fan I would take more concern over Myers letting loose an absolute cannon that could have taken Holloway out for no reason

As an Oiler fan I don't take concern over any of it. The Kings freaked on Bouchard for ripping one at the end of a game last year and I chuckled. It is what it is.

Of course the hypocrisy is the point, If McDavid needs to use it to fuel himself being mad then so be it. I can accept that McDavid is being a hypocrite, but why wouldn't I point that HF posters' number one strength is pretending their own shit doesn't stink too. Most any game that is a blowout, walk into the losing side's game thread, there's all kinds of posts salivating for their players to take runs and rough up the other team. Meanwhile some fans on this thread are playing their violin for the Oilers getting chippy at the end of the game. Oiler fans will do the same when Vegas goons it up at the end too.

The same fans out here screaming they want 10, will be calling the other team stat padding losers when their team gets hit for a TD. You really think Canucks fans wouldn't be crying if McDavid came over the boards in a 7-1 game? The first page is evidence more than just Canuck fans would be.

"Message sending" should lead to suspensions in blowout games. Risking injury when there's nothing to play for.

I think he could of helped himself out a little there rather than go blank on what the team needs to work on than just a blanket statement of "lots". You can tell he just wants the interview to be over as fast as possible. Understandable. Also understandable for everyone to want a little more from him being the captain and leader. He gets paid "lots" to be in all these moments good or bad.

I don't even know why they do post game interviews. The questions are usually the same stupid shit with the same non-informational responses.

Really a waste of time IMO.
This thread was, very, mildly entertaining and spawned from one so I don't agree. There are entire games and heaps of them that contains less value to me.

McDavid just doesn't understand because he was pissing blood, throwing up and having his fingernails fall off and the Oilers still played him as much as possible.

Otherwise explain his appearance.

He didn’t question it. He was asked the question, gave a fairly diplomatic response, and the clip ends in a hard cut.

About 90% of the responses so far are from people who can’t be bothered to watch a 3 minute interview clip before needing to get their cute little comment in and I’m supposed to believe any of you watch the games?

12 pages of this. Some people really need an outlet.

I really don't support the people in here insulting McDavid based on his appearance when they're all hiding behind their computer screen.

With that said, I disagree with McDavid. I'm tired of players, coaches, and fans complaining about a team going all out when a game is "over". A game is not over till the clock hits zero in the third period. If you don't want to get beat up 10-0, then f***ing move your ass and play accordingly. No team ever gets destroyed by such a large margin if they actually show up for a game.

Blame yourself and don't whine to the media because the other side was oh-so-awful with you. You come out sounding like an upset child.

I was screaming we want 10 and I'm an Oiler fan. A team deserves to be embarrassed when they put in an effort like that.

Haven't read through the thread but this was a bad look for McDavid.

I'm sorry the Canucks didn't spend all offseason reading about how good your team was supposed to be and let you have the game or take their foot off the pedal.

This is the NHL. Take it in stride and try to make up for that embarrassment next time you play them.
