Man from the moment that stupid tournament was announced I have hated it. This team is a cup contender. That tournament in the middle of the season is a perfect place to blow out a knee. I don’t know anyone excited for it.

At minimum, the NHL should send out a press release that offenses like Garland's will not be tolerated. Best players in the league or not. And their refs will do better next time???

The league is basically green lighting every NHL scrub to do whatever they want to McDavid and other top stars, because when if they are unlucky they might just be a two minute penalty. If they are lucky, retaliation will take the star out of the game and more.

Of course, the league won't do a thing to enforce their own rulebook, so they will maintain their status as the laughing stock of pro sports.

They signed him knowing his weaknesses and strengths so you have to use him in the proper role to maximize his usage. He’s a top 6 or bust player so they either use him or let him pick a team he wants to play for.

Bettman will make our chances of winning a Cup virtually zero if Mcdavid does anything to make the league look bad.
