We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.
What This Means for You:
- If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
- If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
- Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
- Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Buffalo is not that close to competing that a move like this is worth it to them. Though it's intriguing from a Bruins perspective.

I am all in for Charie. However, you are underselling Power's value. He has #1 potential. it is more or less a 1 for 1. Proven for younger+potential. Sabres add something for the risk.
That move would be a world changer for Buffalo. This is exactly what they would need to take a step be a playoff team.
Bruins are not on a rebuild they re in a retool and McAvoy it's not traded in a retool path he's part of the main core of this team

Bruins say no. A LD as the centerpiece to a team with Lindholm, Zadorov and Lorhei already on the left side, with two of those guys with NMCs, is a poor basis for a deal.

The value is great for Boston but as wintersej says, LD isn't really a need.
If one of them can play on the right, they should do that deal.

I don't see Boston agreeing to something like that. It's a very "quantity for quality" sort of deal. Power isn't a bad centerpiece in a McAvoy deal in a vacuum...but he's not really the guy the Bruins need, and on the whole...it's really just piling a bunch of extra pieces on to Power to try to equal one McAvoy (who isn't even particularly old to begin with).
