Would have been nice to have 2 bertuzzi's...never know, maybe he comes back in the offseason and we have a 1-2 punch on the wing with these two guys in a couple years. Not too bad to think about.I think he will be a Bertuzzi replacement
Can't believe we gave this guy a contract just because Draper's son played with him.If Hakan picked him, he'd probably report straight to Detroit, but because he's a Draper pick, he's only good enough for Grand Rapids.
Am I doing this right?
Yeah, it looks like he's played 2 years at Denver. Typically, when we pull guys after 2 years it has worked out nicely. Not sure what else he will get from playing college, he's a PPG in the NCAA, it doesn't seem like he's going to gain much from continuing on at Denver. Most good college prospects sign early and as a gift for leaving they get a year burnt. The other option is they can go back and sign wherever they want. Worth burning a year to make sure that he doesnt go somewhere else
Do you have examples?Yeah, it looks like he's played 2 years at Denver. Typically, when we pull guys after 2 years it has worked out nicely. Not sure what else he will get from playing college, he's a PPG in the NCAA, it doesn't seem like he's going to gain much from continuing on at Denver.
Good point, Larkin only played 1 year of college hockey. We usually pull guys after their third year, so the fact we are signing Mazur right now seems like a good sign.Do you have examples?
Oh, I had no point. I was genuinely curious who else lolGood point, Larkin only played 1 year of college hockey. We usually pull guys after their third year, so the fact we are signing Mazur right now seems like a good sign.
It makes zero sense to burn a year.Sounds like they're not burning a year.
