921 save % even last 2 games.

It appears to me your number one goal on this forum is to harpoon Pavs. So I would recommend that you stop posting this stat on Montoya because I guarantee you the more they play him, the worse this stat will get.

Any goalie will deteriorate substantially in this headless body of no defensive direction.

I'm personally just getting tired of watching it. I questioned the "he'll always give you more then he'll take away" thing with Buff anyways, but as of late he isn't really even doing that.

People should not be surprised he's not playing for Team USA, sure he has a bomb of a shot but I'm pretty sure Team USA doesn't want him to give up a freebie to Evgeni Malkin during the Olympics just like he did in this afternoon's game. That's a real bad goal to give up too, early in the second period, your team is up 2-0 and you just hand it off like it's a set play and Pittsburgh gains a bunch of momentum.

It really begs the question what is better for the long term of this team. Hang on to a 28 year old high risk almost as much reward guy like Buff or flip him for a young roster player/top level prospect/high pick or some combination of the above to fit in with Scheifs/kane/Trouba?

Wow ratio is going up. According to the stats Buff was on for 5 goals. He is now 71 for the season. The team has let in 135.

So buff/stu was over. the over under was 4.5

Buff was ranked 758 plus/minus in the league today. 778 AFTER the game.

He has Edmonton Oiler written all over him. :sarcasm:

Monty going into a slump doesn't absolve anything.

He is ranked number 1 in the whole league for being on the ice when a goal is scored. 2nd place is like 64. and he is at 71 now

I'd certainly advocate getting what you can for him at this point. Lately it's been at the point where he has to produce at an elite level offensively every single game to make up for what he gives the other team. Like has been said, it's not all his fault this afternoon, but still, lately he's been consistently giving away more than he puts in.

Like he has been for as long as he's been a Jet, Buff is MORE BAD than good, how you ever become a play-off team with a turd like him is an impossibility.

Move his fat ass for a NHL calibre goalie.

The pitchforks are gonna be out on Buff after this one. People blaming him more than he deserves. Everyone turned the puck over, just that kind of game; f

Mental errors in the second of back to back games? I think we've all seen it before. #33 might be affected by this disease more than the others though.

Couldn't have said better myself.

Although at this point his value is about as high as a turd goalie.

#33 is a liability at all times when he is on the ice.
The Jets don't have enough depth to cover for him.

Monty got hung out to dry.

Kane is playing with passion & his post game interviews are the most honest of the whole team.
Rip the A off Jokinen's jersey & give it to Kane.

Call it what you like. Whichever goalie gets the most ice time for the Jets shall be known as 'The slumping goalie".:sarcasm:

Poor Montoya's Sv % will continue to nose dive regardless of the monikker tied to it.

I guess this is more telling than the plus/minus. As bad as that is, the plus minus does look SLIGHTLY better than your stat because Buff can actually score. (I mean on the other team.)

He had one bad game... lets not overreact... just think how many games he singlehandedly won us earlier in the season. Every player has a bad game every now and then. I mean Crosby was what -3, -4 today?

On a side note I really hope we can recoup that second round draft pick we spend on Seto. I will be pi$$ed beyond belief if we can't flip for a 2nd round pick

One positive thing: Scheifele now leads all rookies in assists. Only 4 points off MacKinnon for scoring lead

It's official...I'm now on the trade Byfuglien...

bandwagon.

Crosby has 1 bad game in 30. Buff 5 in 10 - a turnover machine.

If he doesn't find a way to play effectively here in a consistent, non-liability way...don't want him.

Chevy, make a trade for a good center and a late first or early 2nd draft pick would suffice.

Yuk. Sick of people protecting Buff. That includes me to, sick of me protecting Buff. Yuk.:shakehead

I can see without Garret around here as much, we're just never going to know how great Buff is... :sarcasm:
