so what happens to the leafs next season in the first round when they play a better team than the habs , who beat them? what going to change with this team to make anyone truly believe that they (the leafs) can be real contenders, instead of pretenders, regular season points do not matter much, you have to get out of the first round at least once to be put into serious contention conversation, I can not think of any teams in the conference who would not want to play the leafs in the playoffs, as they are constructed right now, and I do not see any cap relief in sight.
Yep. Habs have been gifted 6 straight playoff wins. That’s how the NHL works... it is that easy. Habs essentially did nothing to earn those wins. You’re 100% right the Habs will get DESTROYED against a real team!!!
I will bookmark this for next round![]()

Post in your team's section. You're not a Leafs fan.Habs haven’t trailed for 400+ straight minutes lol. This is professional hockey. It doesn’t matter who the opponent is that’s incredibly impressive.
It's funny how MTL fans said TOR has no depth, but MTL is one injury away from being out of the playoffs, and extremely lucky to have no Tavares and no Scheifele. We indeed might not be where we are.
If Tavares is not injured , we probably don’t win.
but for MS, he well deserved to be out.
i hope it’s satisfying for you.
We know injuries can f***ed up a team. It happened to a lot of teams in all sports !

How many games without Tavares did they play against the Habs in the regular season?
ya that's what everyone said pre-leafs and pre-jets.North is just not good.
I fully expect Habs to get steam rolled next round.
We already know Jets are a bottom 5 team when they lose one of their top forwards.
Leafs record this year is almost meaningless to me. Beat up a bunch of trash teams. Big whoop.
You know your division sucks when a team can have a 1% powerplay for half the season and still win it lol.
Haha.We took the best team in the North division to 7 games.
That’s how it’s done here right?
lmao f*** outta here with that bullshit. Really hope you’re being sarcastic. The entire team except a few played like it’s a regular season game throughout the round except game 2. No intensity, passion. The Habs, with a much inferior team on paper are having this much success because they give a shit and want to win. Our pretty boys got paid and now don’t give a f***.
Its a huge loss. Even worth when another $11M decides to cry in the penalty box11M is a big loss. If he got injured in the regular season, we coul have pulled a Tampa. Huge advatange.
This team is Scooby Doo Mystery solved.Haha.
Don't care what the Habs do. Leafs one of the biggest choke jobs of the decade . These North teams are bye-week worthy for next round teams.
Zero credit to Habs. Full credit to Leafs to earning laughing stock honors until they somehow avenge this .
And we would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those darn kids! This team is Scooby Doo Mystery solved.
