Maybe we should give the Habs some credit.

Vegas is a very tough playoff hardened team. Not as skilled as most of their opponents but they play a punishing grind game which over a long series wears people down.

They're missing Kadri for sure. However that is entirely the fault of Kadri who once again acted like a selfish clown in the playoffs. That being said they should be able to get MacKinnon away from that defensive matchup and out there against third liners with last change.

I actually have many family members who are leaf fans, i see there pain, leaf fans are very passionate/loyal/dedicated, which makes myself and other habs fans feel bad/sorry for them because of the teams failures in the post season, it is almost like the leafs in the playoffs are the NHL version of holocost victims, constant suffering, as a habs fan it would be nice to see the leafs in the playoffs ,play the habs in the 2nd or 3rd round, , but just win a round to ease the pain of the team and its devoted fans.

Two things:

1) Its THEIR pain not THERE pain.

2) Comparing the systematic extermination of a specific religious group of our population to Leaf fans is stupid, tone deaf and just wrong.

I thought I would be romantic, surprise the wife with a trip to Montreal. Her first time going to Montreal, romantic, what a great husband, right? We get into Montreal just before we cross the Jacques Cartier bridge and what is the first thing she see's, a junkie with no pants tripping out, running in an out of traffic ... the rest of the trip my wife spent her time clutching on to her purse, locking the doors in the truck at the fist opportunity and refusing to go out at night.... freaking Montreal junkies!!!

CN Tower takes lighting requests. So if this was the work of the Habs or a specific fan... chapeau off to them.

I think that they're doing it because Montreal now represents Canada, but I doubt Montreal would do something similar if Toronto was the only Canadian team left, but maybe they would.

We are part of the cup final.
We had them in game 5 .
After that Montreal played there system to a tea .
They got incredible confidence after game 5.
And price got inside there mo
 
The Habs cannot play any better than they are playing, so they deserve a ton of credit. If they can go all the way they deserve it. I said after we lost that I was embarrassed that the Leaf management didn’t give Montreal any credit for the win. They need to respect their opponent.

Give the Habs credit for punching their ticket to the final.

Our useless management team is supposed to have built a great team and they have failed.
Our over priced supposed stars failed to show up.

Well I always wanted the Leafs to be the team that brings the cup home. That may not happen in my life time (I'm 25) so may as well hitch my waggon to Montreal this year. If they win I will no doubt puke, but atleast I'll finally see a Canadian team win the cup.

If the Habs are to get credit and if they are the real deal, then all the bitterly disappointed Leaf fans (who want to fire Dubas and flush the core) and Leaf haters have to change their tune. Can't have it both ways. We lost in 7 games where we were the better team in 6 of those games. So either we lost that way to a formidable opponent and other very good clubs could not put up that kind of fight, or we lost to a lesser team because we are not a good team. Can't be both.
 
The fact that Montreal is that much better than Toronto while we are stuck with this overpriced overrated talent that doesn't have that next gear needed to win in the playoffs is not a good thing. Leafs should be embarrassed. If they think that this gets them off the hook then we are in even more trouble.

We lost to them because they are a better team. The resin they are a better team is because they are balanced and do not have 3 soft forwards paid 11 million dollars.
Their best players showed up and ours did not.
Shanny has had all the resources in the world and another year of first round losers is the best he could do
 
Would love to reconcile all the posted hockey knowledge regarding the need for raw straight line skating speed in the playoffs with Cole Caufield.
I would love to learn more.
Caufield is a gem but there are some people here who would never have given him a chance due to size and speed.
 
Hockey math says we are better than vegas since we took the Habs to 7 and they only lasted 6 games.
