it's a split series.
tied up.
it's a 3 game series now.
we have home ice.
don't mess around.
don't blame it on the goalie.

Essentially thiswe have no reasonable alternative so we're riding Campbell sink or swim.
You do know who our other goalie option is, right? You can't pin this entire loss on Jack Campbell. The whole team capitulated in the first 10 minutes of this game.
But I just don't see a good NHL goalie not making a big save here and there to stem the tide.
We've seen plenty of times where the Leafs have started a game with that kind of pressure and had not much to show for it. Because good NHL goalies are....well, pretty damn good.
Haven't really seen that from Campbell.
This comes on the heels of a bad slump this year, and a mediocre playoffs last year. He may be Andersen-esque in his inability to handle pressure. Gallagher's opening goal in Game 7 comes to mind. Just an inexcusable goal.
At this point, I'd rather see anyone else in net. I can't be the only one who feels this way?

Same old playoff excuses, truth is we don’t have what it takes in goals (as usual) to go very far in the playoffs.Do we forget the 3rd in game 3 where he literally stole a win for us? Lets relax
I agree the 1st and 3rd goal, especially the 3rd were his fault. He alllowed 5 goals, but 3 of them weren't his fault. You can't pin this entire loss on Jack Campbell. The whole team capitulated in the first 10 minutes of this game.

I am a Jets fan but on the Leafs bandwagon this year. I feel they have a good coach, super talent in M and M and should get out of this round based on the bolts, despite last night, being ripe for the picking. The second round will be a cakewalk compared to this one. It will be sweet to See TB lose game 6 on home ice!!I'm almost certain it's going 7 at this point. Game 5 leafs blowout. Game 6 Tampa blowout. Game 7 double OT 0-0 coin flip. That's the heart palpations we need as leafs fans
Soup is our goalie. The team in front of him was absolute crap he knew this that’s why he was arguing with Sheldon about coming out of the game. He’s got compete.
YupWow 3 pages of this nonsense. We live or die with Campbell right now.
LOL so after we lose in the first 10 minutesRide or die with Campbell. Just pull him fast if he gives up 2-3 goals on 3-5 shots again.
All star and backup in one season...only in TorontoJack Campbell is a backup… but he is the only NHL caliber goalie on this roster and you are either going to win or lose with HIM in net. This is not even a discussion.
