Lol, Jurcina is slower than Czech cargo train. The whole game is slower than beer hockey at times. Trap defense and Jurcina going trough it alone :help:

This game is the exact opposite of that great Sweden - Czech game. Slow, defensive, kind of boring. Honestly I am only watching because it's Slovakia playing.

I'm only watching with one eye since Juventus-Real is on, but damn the back and forth hockey is painful to watch from a Slovakian perspective. Why you guys can't shut these types of games down, with a grinding systematical play I will never understand. Ugly grinding wins are really important to get.

What do we expect actually? With centers like Kopecký that is the biggest ***** ever, and Bližňák that was even fired from the last team of KHL Western Conference after 28 games with miserable 0+2 and -13 stats? It is just pure tragedy, and it is quite agonizing for a supporter, on the other hand, I am not surprised. I have been watching the roster of Slovenia for last two years and 8-10 guys could easily make it to our roster this year.

Is there any legit prospects that people already know about in Slovak program currently?

Tbh, Finland went trough this same thing in mid 2000's. We had absolute scrub teams in WHC, only did well in olympics with the NHL players. Like 7 years without a medal in WHC back then.

We still had really bad looking player production five years ago. Back then, they revamped the whole junior system and now it's producing again. Slovakia's hockey bosses need to sit down and see what has been done in Sweden (they had similiar refresh of their system before Finland. Finland kinda followed their example) and in Finland for example.

Yeah, let's blame the coach again. Not saying that Vujtek hasn't made any mistakes, but look at the players, Slovenia is better in absolutely every view.

Yes, the players are terrible and all. But there is absolutely no excuse for waiting until now to put Kopecký off the 1st line and for still keeping him on the PP. Also, tactics is the job of the coach first and foremost, not the players and so far Vujtek has failed to apply the kind of tactic that would suit this group of players (unlike in 2012 when he applied the correct tacting for those players with Chara and Sekera on deffense). What Lasak (and Lintner before the game as well) was desciribing is what we need to play with these players.

Do they have to pour salt into the wound with that documentary about Svehla and mentioning the 2003 Worlds?

the hell's this simile man?

We had Czech teacher talking with (or, to) us in English class two years ago. She told that the czech trains are slowest ever, they do 100km trip in like two hours.

I dont know they somehow seem to me playing with not enough effort from the first game. No reall pressure on net, no aggressivity.....They just look like skating around....

I doubt Reway is the issue as he was pretty much benched during extraliga playoffs....

There will be elections to the Slovak federation this June where the current leadership will face off with a group currently led by Richard Linner (but which also includes Bondra and Å atan) who want to change Slovak hockey. However considering the way the elections work Lintner and co. might lose despite almost unilateral support from the fans. You can read a bit more here and here.

And how did that work out for his team again?

Reway is an idea man. He can make things happen, especially on the PP.

He's the issue on the PP, just as Nagy is. When I compare the PP in the preparation games without Reway and with him it's a huge difference.

Well Dano who is on the 1st line is one of them.
Reway (C) from the last U21 that won bronze was scratched due to flu.
Marincin (D) plays for Edmonton but had to show up for AHL playoffs.

Two years from now maybe:
Cernak (D) should be drafted soon
Bondra (C or W) should be drafted soon

We really lack quality centers.
