Looking back at the Olympics, 11 players from the Olympics roster are present on Slovakia's WC roster, however neither Michel Miklik nor Tomas Surovy are expected to play today, while Jan Laco will start today and didn't see any action against Slovenia at the Olympics. That means that the following eight players will play for Slovakia in both games: Ivan Baranka, Milan Jurcina, Andrej Meszaros, Tomas Jurco, Tomas Tatar, Richard Panik,Tomas Kopecky and Milan Bartovic. Asides for the absence of Rodman there only seem to be minor changes between Slovenia's OG and WC roster.
Slovenia also beat Slovakia 3:2 at a tourney in Vienna this February. However while the Slovenian team included several players that are on the WC roster including for example Ticar, it was still pretty far from Slovenia's top team. On the other side there are no Slovaks from this game on the WC roster as Slovakia played with basically a B selection of players born in 1989 and later in this tourney (10+ players of this age group were at a different tourney in Slovakia and of course several were in the NHL/AHL as well). So this game bears even less relevance than the Olympics game for today.
