I don't think we always have the best roster, certainly not far and away the best every year at this event. This years roster is excellent, and certainly should content for the gold medal. Canada should fare better than it has over the last several years, but they haven't exactly put out lineups that put other teams to shame year after year.

Just compare the attitude of top players like Getzlaf and Perry between the events. At the WHC they are seen at the bars and play lazy. Come Olympics they are all business and play intense hockey. I think you know that, however, and are just looking to create some drama.

You only win in the olympics becuase you ice such INSANE players that it's acually silly, it's basicly better than any of the nhl all-star teams because you have all the best all-stars in one team.

In the finals against Canada in the olympics last year Sweden had and SHL player center the top line... Berglund was our best center, get lost please ofcourse worlds matter to canadiens, you're just salty because it's obvious that they can't play like a team.. Only win when they outmatch other teams so much that it's actually silly..

I'd agree with half of this. Canada always has the most talented lineups, but it's usually through their lack of "Care" that they don't win every single time.

Russias olympic team is worse (on paper) than most of the teams Canada has sent to WC the past 5-8 years.

Did i say that? All i said is that you shouldn't come and say that you don't care about worlds or international tournaments because you send bad teams.. You always send the best teams. And still you manage to lose so many times.

I'd say that Canada's best against anyone's best is no contest.


When it's maybe half of Canada's best against anyone's best like this tournament then we're still a favourite but maybe not the far and away favourite like we were in Sochi.
