So, how did you feel about not winning the IIHF Worlds in the past... 7 years and no medal in 5? :sarcasm:

That's because most of Canada's best players are in the NHL playoffs. Look at the Olympics roster compared to the roster at the IIHF Worlds for a comparison of quality of players. Good try though.

Not a ton of lefties who don't look good next to Burns.

Hammy is a cut above though, of course.

That's why it's a great pairing.

Hamhuis usually gets paired with people to make them better, and same with burns.

Match made in heaven.

Nobody in Canada gives a f about the worlds and you can tell based on the rosters we've iced. We come up on top when it's best-on-best so we're fine with that.

I still kind of expect to win, to be honest

Those teams were still the best on paper in the tournament.

That's a poor excuse considering they still have a WAY better team than anyone else every single year.

It's quite easy to say that they should stop taking penalties.. Canada is just too quick for most of czechs defensemen. They're not doing it by pure foolishness

Yeah but it gives Canada a real advantage so they better find a way to play smarter to avoid them.

Pojď-me ho-ši, dáá-méé góól,dááme góóól, dááááááme

No it's not. If it was a true World Championship it would be the best of the best. This is the best of whats available.

Muzzin is a really bad skater, big ice is not for him

Well now it seems I poked into the wasp nest... :D So while I am at it, what about the first Olympics where there were the best of the best? The 98' Nagano? :)

Ok... so now, let's keep the PP for more then 3 seconds...

Just compare the attitude of top players like Getzlaf and Perry between the events. At the WHC they are seen at the bars and play lazy. Come Olympics they are all business and play intense hockey. I think you know that, however, and are just looking to create some drama.

Czechs won fair and square. We took 3 of the next 4. Pretty satisfied with that result.

See - there's the even up call. Czech player hanging on as much as Muzin was holding.
