Hard to sell NA players on attending a Euro-focused tournament not viewed as important back home. Nonetheless, I hope Russia wins the WHC. Whatever it takes for the Russian management to convince themselves all is well with their hockey program.

Yeah it's a tough play by NHL standards, just because Sobotka was in the process of following through on his shot and naturally that brings your head down. At the same moment Abdelkader was coming in for the hit.

I think back to back tournaments in Toronto and Montreal will do a lot for Canada and in turn for the States.
