Thanks a lot for this! So Ovi got counted for 2 assists? I am still amazed at how good tikhonov looks out there. I think it would be better if Malkin slides into the 2nd center when he plays, just based on how good tikhonov has been.

More even, I watched Ovechkin play for Dynamo Moscow. One dimensional is the NA press that keeps repeating it like a mantra.

I'm not even going to go in depth about Russian journalist incompetence and lack of moral values because it's not really the topic for it..
But Ovechkin..5 games and 34 shots on goal- now that is a lot to be shooting, a little too much if i am honest. But it is okay- Russia has the adequate defence for it unlike Caps. Caps- they couldn't even get in the playoffs this year and Ovechkin managed to get something like -30 in +/- rating? That is really bad even if we consider how much points he has amassed. So one dimensional or not- what does it matter? Ovi is not all that much of a team/defense player- not sure why would you counter that..

Thanx for being a typical Ovechkin critic. If they don't have something negative about him they turn a positiove into a negative. Now shooting is wrong.

They don't. Russia's defence is weak. Very weak even for this level. It's just Znarok recognizes it and let's the team play an aggressive offensive style.

There is eough of thorough analysis on that already. +/- isn't a stat you can take as as an absolute value. Without context it's quite meaningless. He's +6 in the WC so far.

He is. there is just a bunch of ppl repeating after each other. I don't want to discuss it even. I watched tons of Ovechkin's games. I know what I see.
