It was perhaps the most legit goal of the tournament, he neither blocked the goalies view or hindered him from taking the puck.

Canada have been playing decent hovewer the Czech deserves atleast a goal.

Canada always get the refs on their side in important games, dirty plays both off and on the ice.

I will for the first time in history root for Russia in a final (or USA depending on result). Dirty wins are the worst thing for a hockey lover. :)
You have such a petty mentality and your bias against Canada is clouding your logic. We have had games called against us many times, but your bias chooses to ignore those and only remember when Canada is favoured.

The call may be a bad one, but if we win this game, it's because we deserve it. So far Canada has been superior.

No you need to get your eye sight checked. Just the fact that he was in crease was enough to blow the whistle. They've called it like that all tournament.

No, they can't call it when he barely touched it, and didn't prevent Smith to make the save or his sight. Watch the replay and check the rule. Please..

Yikes.

Now I know you're just looking for reactions.

The reason, why is it so frustrating for many is because there simply isn't any league in the world, where crease violation is called so meticulously. That being said, IIHF is enforcing it this way and the rules are rules, no matter how stupid they may seem. Last year it was (atleast I think) Latvia who was screwed by this rule, this year we ...

It should have been a goal.

Anyone who watches and enjoys hockey would agree.

The WCs are infamous for brutal calls at the worst time so no one is particularly shocked.

did you guys still claiming its by the rules not read the cut/paste from the rulebook on the previous page clearly stating that it should have been allowed??

Isn't that simple because Rule 186 iv. If an attacking skater establishes position inside the goal crease, obscuring the goaltender’s sightline but making no contact, and a
goal is scored, it will not be allowed.

Look at the angle of Smiths face, the Czech player doesn't block his view, or in away prevent him from make that save..

That's not right before the goal.

Yeah, I posted that. And then someone else posted another rule proving I was wrong.

Ok then Rule 184 i. If an attacking skater establishes position in the goal crease, play will be stopped and the ensuing faceoff will take place at the nearest
faceoff spot in the neutral zone.
