Unbelievable reffing. If you dont whistle offside then you cant check it and disallow goal afterwards. And whats even more horrible is that those goals were not even offside goals.

The 2nd call was offsides by a country mile. The 1st call was debatable whether the Swiss players skate was on the ice or not.

Either way both calls should have been blown dead.

I can't imagine the US bothering to fix the round robin games. Chalk this up to incompetence.

I don't think anyone in their right mind would accuse US Hockey of fixing this game.

If, and that's a big if, the game was indeed fixed, you can bet (no pun intended) that there are betting people behind it.

But in all likelihood you are correct, that it just was terrible refereeing.

Roman Koffman and Jyri Rönn are the main referees. Jyri Rönn is an idiot, so thats no surprise. He shouldn't ever whistle in Liiga, Mestis or even Suomi-sarja again. Never.

Linesmen are responsible for calling offsides.

Great game, well earned win by the US.

TSN showed very clearly both plays were offsides, those are the rules. Get over it.

well earned is your apreciation.

funny ... they showed on the same images that they weren't offside !

should we understand another media twist ? like the ones we witness south of Bielorussia ?

i agree with rules ... the world knows that my friend.

Linesmen are responsible for calling offsides.

Doesn't matter anything in this case. Refs or linesmen didin't whistle offsides at all. They went to review it from the linesmen after the goals were scored, which shouldn't ever happen. You whistle it or not.

Hmmm Great game USA way to battle back from adversity especially from that crappy call on Wingels. USA was the better team all game

You're leg has to be on the other side of the blue line, seriously, this isn't a ****ing new rule.

are you saying that the puck has to be on one side and the legg on the other side of the blue line ?

No he's saying that the blue line has to be behind the puck as the 1st leg goes onside while the puck goes over the other leg can cross the other side of the blue line but only if the puck crosses the first leg as the second one goes over the blue line

Can someone tell me if this is offside or not ? i must say that i am frustrated ... but don't know exactly the rules. (i know the rule of offside ... but not to the detail of blue line ... legg should be on the other side of the line ... )

thank you

Right. Just like you said: "They went to review it from the linesmen"!
