If you take what some random person writes on social media seriously, you should not be on social media.
canadian hockey fans are a joke sometimesWhat has happened to Canadians being "nice"?
you can't say that without being in the situation yourself. If you take what some random person writes on social media seriously, you should not be on social media.
Wtf is this garbage? If you take what some random person writes on social media seriously, you should not be on social media.
It's social media, it has its share of useful things people post and sometimes even very insightful and fun things, but it's also got a lot of morons on it. So with the good you have a TON of the bad and if you don't have a thick skin, maybe staying off the platform is a good thing. It's unfortunate that it's like that, it shouldn't be, but it is.Wtf is this garbage?
The guy just lost a big game which he's already upset about and there are going to be hundreds of morons trolling/flaming him on social media. You think that has no effect on him?

To be honest, not sure why any athlete would have any social media account. Just seems like a bad way to go unless you're going to use it to post fun stuff or family stuff that most tend to.
The way we act when it comes to hockey is generally out of character compared to how the average Canadian behaves in everything else.
I mean. Not to ok telling someone to die of aids. But as kid Max’s age. Living in LA. With 20x the followers than Max has. I promise you there’s some people that say some messed up stuff.Dude, a guy told him he wished Comtois would die of aids. Lots of biggotery because he's French too. It's not about having a thick skin, it's just unacceptable.
We are absolutely allowed to be critical of his play. Players are also able to set filters on their social media accounts if they don't want to read any negative comments.
Unless someone is making death threats (or calling his parents and leaving voice mails, which would be insane) discussing a player's poor play and attitude on a message board or on their social media account directly is not harassment.
He’s also essentially a child still. These guys are babies who are still years away from understanding things as a mature adult. Many of the comments came from 40-50 year old men who should know better. Who should know that they also were ignorant and niave at that age and even years after.Based on his antics on the ice he's definitely a rat and him being Captain material can be questioned. But attacking him on social media and/or blaming him for Canada's loss is very uncalled for. Shame on those people.
There are definitely differences in cultures. Would you also claim that the average Canadian is the same as the average Japanese or Venezuelan? The average Canadian is no different than the average American, or the average Swede.
People are people. Some are nice, some are dicks.
Tweet unto others as you would have tweeted unto you.
Not mine.I like this. You might have the tweet of the year. I would go on Dragons Den with this one
