No sarcasm I guess, because Michkov was pretty good indeed.-3 today, lookin great
He made some plays. He isn’t even legal drinking age.-3 today, lookin great
I don’t think yet. It’s possible he’ll pass Bedard soon though, as Connor is having a disappointing sophomore season.
No, I’m not even saying he’s necessarily the better player today. But I think by the ends of their careers it’ll be clear michkov had been the better player
There is another Russian kid coming up soon who also seems to be absolutely ridiculously good
The Flyers still can’t can’t get anything out of the Centers. Michkov is talented as hell but when he is the only guy on his line who has any offensive creativity it’s a problem.

They’ve broken Konecny and Michkov up multiple times, largely because both play RW.He’s been stapled to Konecny who’s a first line caliber player
4.76% on ice shooting percentage and a 25% IPP at 5v5. Both of those are unsustainably low.Wow Michkov 1 goal and 2 assists in 13 games even strength....well i guess being a pp specialist is not that bad.
And he was the first star in both of these games too. He is, undeniably, a game breaker. Let’s see if he becomes more consistent.2g, 1a, +3 in his two games since being scratched. Looks like he has responded well. And the Flyers have gotten 7 out of a possible 8 points in the 4 games beginning with Michkov’s scratch, although they were lucky to win last night. Michkov has had Anthony Richard on his LW and Poehling and Frost as his centers the past two games.
Just give Torts the Adams now.So comical reading the takes in here, keep it up folks !!

I think history will be confused as to why he only went 7th overall. At the time there was concern of him staying in Russia, which looks really silly with him already playing in the NHL in his D+2. No offense to those guys, but players like David Reinbacher and Dmitry Simashev look like straight up... "who?" in comparison. It's not like Michkov was an unknown player before the Draft.
Kucherov was not that well known, imo. Before the U18s that he lit up, I wouldn't be shocked if many NHL scouts had never heard of him.Kuch went 58'th overall despite putting great numbers in juniors. Sometimes great players fall in draft for unknown reasons.

This isn't unknown reasons though, it was just the "Russia factor" never should have slipped to PhillyKuch went 58'th overall despite putting great numbers in juniors. Sometimes great players fall in draft for unknown reasons.
