Matthews is a slightly better version of Dave Andreychuk. Dave had 53 goals and 99 points and no one considered him worthy of an MVP award. Bossy scored 50 in 50 also no MVP award. No one who watches hockey without Leaf blinders on would consider Matthews anywhere near the talent that McDavid is. Matthews is simply a useful player, McDavid is a generational talent.

That is the ONLY one I care about. Individual records and awards, while cool, mean nothing to team success come playoff time. Glad he scored 60, for whatever it was worth...

If the Leafs do ever win the cup, I don't think the Conn Smythe winner is on our current roster, unless something drastic changes.
