yeah that's completely ridiculous, as of right now has virtanen proven button wrong yet? virtanen absolutely was not the consensus 6th pick, so you're just blatantly making that up.

you can't be serious. kyilingtpn by all accounts had a solid draft +1 season, and button barley had him in his top 30. dal colle had a fantastic draft + 1 season, struggled on a bad team at the beginning of his draft + 2 season but broke out when he was traded, for some reason people are making way to much of that rough 30 game stretch, outside of it he's been a top 3 producer in the OHL over the past 3 seasons, he's a very good prospect and to suggest after merely 2 years that he's wrong about him is flawed. as for hanifin and werenski over hanifin, again it's been one season ffs, and provorov and werenski are both fantastic prospects tracking extremely well. most consider them extremely close and i actually had provorov ahead of hanifin pre draft as well.
Do you actually believe any of what you write? Because posts like this have a distinct lack of ... reality.
I can think of quite a few like that on this board. It's better to just hit ignore.

Not sure what makes Kylington a bad pick. He was insanely overhyped going into his draft year but he was a fine pick where the Flames grabbed him. I'd probably take him over Baertschi to be honest if it also means we don't make the Shinkaruk for Granlund trade.

You could be right but why is him being a C so appealing to the Oilers? They have McDavid, Draisaitl, and RNH down the middle.

Meh I don't think I believe this. There would be so much outrage, I would think even Benning/Aquaman could see it ending badly.

They could trade RNH for a very good return and we don't get our Jamie Benn clone.. And just being a Canuck fan means nothing will go our way.. So expect* the worst and anything extra is a bonus

What Button said was 100% true. IIRC Button does his rankings based on impact at the NHL level - ie Virtanen in Button's view was always a bottom 6 guy (why he was ranked 43rd)
Button admitted that Virtanen would've gone 6th in the mock drafts but never played up Virt's potential as a first liner.
I wouldn't go that far. I'm 100% sure that ownership wants to make the playoffs and hired this current management under the expectation that happens and they expect that to happen. And that's fair to be honest even if we believe at this point that's stupid when it wasn't a couple years ago. Its a harder stretch to say I expect you to make the playoffs and I demand you use the 5th overall to get us there.
On what basis? Your opinion?
Dubois>=Tkachuk really. With the organizational needs we have factored in? Dubois >>>>> Tkachuk.
