I look at the stat that he has one goal this year, and two goals since November 6 2023, that is the stat that works for me, oh and my eyes.

I like this kid but he should be shooting 400 pucks per day all summer.Definitely needs to work on his shot.Players are not stupid they know he wants to pass it first.

I'm the first one to gaze at analytics with a jaundiced eye, but shot differential and scoring chances aren't exactly deep down the analytics rabbit hole.

For all the perceived issues he has, he's been a huge net positive play driver at 5 on 5. His scoring is a factor of playing largely with low quality line mates and not getting much PP time.

For now he seems like the ideal 3rd line player. Still too young. But too good to send down. He makes the bruins better. He has a sneaky good shot. But seems this year he hasn’t been using it. I bet he spent the summer trying to be stronger. Next year he probably works on his shot.
