Maybe this isn't the place, but how was that only a 2? Josh Manson got a 5 minute major and tossed last night for far less than that. This league sometimes.

It's a Bruin player being abused so the refs think it's fair payback for Marchys antics!

It's not just Poitras, Patrnak and Marchy have been abused continuously! And why wouldn't you when the officials and our team allows it without pushback of any kind.

Just yesterday I was being told that teams werent running or targeting poitras.

Agree 100%! If he had wingers who could hit the net with his unbelievable passes, the kid would have 35 points by now.

I’d let him go to the tourney. We got Geekie who can play center on the third line until he returns. Let him build some confidence, rep his country, and have some fun.

That's great.

Love this kid's attitude. Gets caved in, no worries, gets right back up and keeps playing without fear. Makes a mistake, no worries, gets back on the ice next shift and keeps pressing. Dude never takes a shift off. Seems to play with great joy. Always smiling. Excellent work ethic. And good to the fans.

He has been a bright spot over the past three losses. Plays hard no matter what the score is. So easy to root for Poitras.

I don’t think he should go. But if he does you play Geekie in the middle and call up Lysell or Merkulov and get them a taste. Not ideal at all but not the worst thing to do in a bridge year.

My thoughts as well. Also the team is at the tops of the league points wise. If they were battling for a playoff spot I'd keep him. Let him decide.

Farinacci (sp?) deserves some games at center too, all depends on where they are in the standings, do they have a buffer on home ice or over a wild card spot etc.

Farinacci isn't ready yet. And again, I'm not advocating for Poitras to go at all. Not close. Just examining the reasoning behind if they did choose to send him.

Watch his right leg, after he cuts back he shields the puck with it from the defenders stick which opens up the passing lane as well. And while all this is happening he sees Heinen from the corner of his eye.
Alice Cooper said "I'm eighteen and I don't know what I want". Matty says "I'm nineteen and I want the puck on my stick".

Incredible skill and composure on that play. Two men on him, both with their sticks near the puck trying to poke it away. Somehow Poitras sees Heinen sweeping in and is able to deliver a perfect backhanded pass after protecting the puck to set up an easy shot by Heinen. Matrix-esque.
