Both of Boston’s big off season signings look bad.
I like both of Zadorov and Lindholm but they are overpaid by about 40% and playing higher in the lineup than they should be.

At the end of the day, it’s Swayman TBH….he’s looked abysmal in net for Boston all season since he got the bag.

I get the feeling Matthews wasn’t that hurt this past while and he was just resting to get back to more of a normal. It was clear last time he wasn’t there.

Terrific game by the first line, particularly Marner and Knies. Knies needs Matthews to shine I guess. Tanev, Benoit and McCabe with solid games.

However, allowing 4 goals to a Boston team that has trouble scoring is not good.

Woll looked shaky all game but made some good saves.

Once again too many self inflicted mistakes leading to goals. I don’t know what Tavares was thinking with that paralysis in his own zone leading to a goal.

Third line not good, especially Domi. Robertson with an unwarranted icing on one of the goals. We need a good two way 3C real bad.

Matthews was awesome at both ends of the rink and it was great to see. Hopefully he has no serious setbacks moving forward because he elevates this team to another level when he is on his game.

I think he will rebound but maybe not this season.

Lindholm and Zadorov are what they are. A 4/5D paid like a 2/3 and a 2/3C paid like a 1C. And you have to think they aren’t going to improve with age.

Happy for Knies getting rewarded going to the net. He and McMann have really added that element to a forward core that was way too timid overall.

Fun game in a nervous kind of way. Glad we pulled it out. Knies Marner and Matthews were on fire. Good kickstart for Matthews. Knies needed that game. Always great to beat the Bruins.

Lol. Pre-game was full of dramatics about Matthews and Marner being put together, and then that line just completely dominates.
Great to see Knies get his first hat trick. Looks like rumours of Matthews' demise were greatly exaggerated.
Always good to beat the Bruins.

Looks like his tank is almost empty.

There's been a few too many bounce back goals within a minute of us scoring for my liking.

Let's hope that was just load management and he's back to his usual self.

He looked a lot more normal this time around compared to when he came back after the 9 game game stint he missed earlier in the season.

1st line was dominiant.
2nd line, not so good -- nylander is disinterested right now.
3rd line, vanilla tonight, didn't do anything bad, didn't do anything great.
4th line, same thing.. thought they were decent.

Woll had a bad game, but he's played solid for us so he gets a pass.
