Today he showed a different element besides fighting. He was so disruptive in front of the net and was rewarded. If he can play like this often we have a hard 4th line to play against
Thats the thing. Thats his game. I posted this morning but here it is again

I have an AHLTV sub and watch pack games when the rangers arent on. People acting like rempe is just some talentless goon are just so far off.

For his size hes an elite skater, as an overall skater hes average but keeps improving. He gets in on the forecheck and its hilarious watching dmen on dump in’s seeing rempe as F1 barreling down towards them, it causes so many turnovers just his mere presence. When we get possession in the o-zone he might as well set up a tent in front of the net thats how much time he spends there, the goalie cannot see a damn thing. His hands are actually pretty soft around the net too. He cleans up his fair share of goals in the dirty areas. He plays nothing but 5v5 hockey but had 8 goals in about 40 games with the pack. Hes the low cost guy who I can see becoming a valuable 4th line center

Some here said that was a win. I thought it was a draw. Rempe landed shots that McIlrath wasn’t expecting and threw him down
Rempe was the one landing in that fight, Mcilrath threw a haymaker that sailed past Rempe’s head and he bulldogged Rempe to the ice. Guess you could call it a draw but Rempe landed better. Dylan was concerned that Matt maybe hit the ice hard and made sure he was okay. Nice show of respect. Rempe’s opponents mostly seem to like him. Hahah. Seems like a good kid.

He's like the real life version of Doug Glatt from the movie Goon, except Rempe can skate and play. Deslauriers asking him to fight during warm ups was like Ross Rhea challenging Doug Glatt. I want to see this kid play against Tom Wilson.

I agree. I was surprised by that one. I knew he liked to mix it up from the rookie games. I didn’t know he was gonna go after heavyweights in the A at 20. Went after Nick Wolff too. Then demolished some others as the year went on.

It’s been an unbelievable progression since draft day

Watch the end of the fight. Deslauriers wanted that shit to end. He grabs Rempe's leg to throw him off balance.
Deslauriers pulled a Vukota takedown to get out of the fight. Mick was notorious for the takedown when he wanted no more of getting punched. Deslauriers wanted out but he’s not the type to turtle.
